You get the money back at the end, and can sell bonds you hold which go up and down depending on the overall bond yield rate in the market. Disadvantage is it's a low rate of return, and in recent times usually the S&P 500 will beat T-bills in returns significantly. For someone with a billion dollars, a guaranteed $15M/yr return is pretty damn good. For someone middle class, it's shit.

Well there's no real reason to use BTC as a currency, which is what it was originally intended for back in 2008. I can just use Revolut or WeTransfer to convert the currency i'm holding for practically no fees and then transfer it into some else's account who lives on the other side of the globe by just using my phone.
Right now it's just an asset that people buy and hold on to because "it can't go down, it only goes up" and it goes up as long as more people buy it thinking it can only go up.

>There's an argument to be made that money should be less liquid, not more.
What? Why? Is this that "fuck the HFT scalpers" thing? Because more liquidity means more efficient pricing, which creates more efficient resource allocation, which will create more things and a better quality of life.

Not to mention that currencies are competing with eachother, and even if you try to artificially lower liquidity, the market will find a way.

PLTR is a very speculative bet. Everyone (including Thiel and that clown of a CEO) knows that the company isn't worth tenth this much. It's a dead company walking. As soon as free debt dries up, they will go tits up. And stock holders know this: money fled from PLTR stocks faster than from fucking TSLA in the recent red days.

It was most likely Paul Le Roux.
Author of E4M, which was later used as a base for TrueCrypt. Possibly involved in further development of TrueCrypt.
He was involved in gambling business, early Bitcoin clients had code for GUI for a poker game.
The arrest of Le Roux, and the last posts by Satoshi to the original Bitcoin repository, occurred around the same time.
One of the names he used was Paul Solotshi Calder Le Roux, backed with a Congolese diplomatic passport.
