Have multiple stocks at once. Don't choose just 1, because if it falls you lack a play since usually you pick only one due to a good thesis you know will EVENTUALLY come through and pick you back up. Selling stocks you know for sure will go up early when they lose is stupid, wait till they go up. But having one stock is bad on its own since you don't have choices, and is compounded when it goes down. Have many stocks so you have many options, of what to sell, buy, do nothing, etc. And another tip, never spend all your money, or if margining (it is okay!) never fully margin out. You want to always have cash on hand to capitalize on opportunity.

My biggest lessons can be summed up as this: liquidity is almighty. Comes with having more money too, but being able to constantly make plays and evaluate options, take opportunities, is what makes you money. Always have options, never back yourself in a corner.

Unless the company has productive incoming cash flow already they will HAVE to do cash raises and the best time to do that is shortly before or after announcing clinical results. It is a fairly consistent "dip buy" after securing profits that exists. And its really the only reason to be involved in biotech at all beyond whatever feel good you might have from owning it.
You can certainly read papers the company publishes but the small and microcap biotech field is absolutely infested with insider trading. So the strategy I outlined above is both low effort and moderately high reward.

Right now I'm in AVLNF - they're trading around .24c a share. I'm thinking it's going to hit a dollar short term and easily reach $4 before the end of year. Their competitors such as Rock Tech Lithium are already trading at over $4 purely on speculation. The two companies are actually currently in a partnership to develop lithium refineries.

The US gov has also started to fund rare earth developments in North America because again, China.

Overall, I think smart money has started to enter into these North American rare earth tickers so now is a great time to buy and accumulate.
