Redpill me of NFTs

>> No.29618100

They are retarded normie trash. You must have a sub-80 IQ to actually care about NFTs other than as an opportunity to make massive amoutns of money from people who will be in debt till the day they day. The only people who buy NFTs are the same people who buy funko pops

this isn't correct. most people buying NFTs are rich af.
the potential for NFTs is rather large. Trading card games is just one example, though it's not that great.
the best potential for NFTs are in things like: Deeds to property, vehicle ownership, original art from popular/notorious artists or figures, etc.
i personally think, in the future, we will all have true augmented reality glasses or some implant or something, and this is where NFTs will really shine. rather than put on clothes, we will put on a single gay leotard, and then you'll equip NFTs so that anyone on the network will see them through their augmented reality glasses.

the use case for implementing NFT systems is actually pretty huge, the issue is any NFT that you can currently purchase/"invest" in is a pile of absolute gutter trash and will be useless in a few months if not a few weeks.

the real use case of NFTs will come when real desirable assets are implemented via NFT, like consider if pokemon or magic the gathering used an NFT crypto system to create verifyable scarce digital trading cards to be used in games. that is pretty big thinking. but currently every NFT you can buy is just literal autism bux.

cool shit though.

>to start selling complete a FREE (plus gas) transaction
>$86 gas

this is why ethereum is a completely useless shitcoin, I don't care how bullish everyone is on it those fees make it completely and utterly useless in anything but trades in the tens of thousands
