A quick tip to anyone accumulating: Keep half your assets on Matic and half on Ether. The price is sometimes cheaper on uniswap and sometimes cheaper on quickswap. If the price is cheaper on quickswap, I'd recommend a strong buy as you don't pay any real fees once your assets are on matic.

My post is a bit outdated, but go to wallet.matic.network, connect your metamask and there should be a blue button that asks if you want to transfer your assets from ETH chain to Matic. If you don't have any matic on your matic network, they give you .1 for free which will cover like 100+ swaps.

Yes, .0005 matic per swap. To transfer your assets onto matic costs eth and to transfer them off also costs eth. The on-transfer is cheaper than the off-transfer and can be circumvented by using RAMP to buy crypto directly onto the matic network with fiat. Transferring on and off costs cheaper than average gas prices on just 1 swap on L1 DEXs.

Yes, but each transaction is fractions of a cent and they give you 0.1 MATIC to start. So you can bridge whatever coin they have a pair for and then start trading. I recommend getting a few MATIC at least so you don't have to worry about running out.
