ERC20 is the Ethereum chain. Opera is... the Opera chain. A huge reason why Fantom is so bullish is because it acts as an extremely fast bridge (and will act) for all these tokens that have insane gas prices, as well as lot else.

If you want to send a ERC20 token to the Fantom wallet you must first convert it to the Opera chain within the Fantom wallet, otherwise they are lost.

Probably one of the bigger faults of Fantom was not changing the letters for their wallets from ERC20, too many retards send their ERC20 directly to the Opera mainnet because it has a very similar wallet name. Instead of >0x89205A3.... for example it should have been ftmx89205A3A3... or something. not sure if that would be possible but you know what I mean.

I went on a tangent. Basically if you buy the ERC20 token you have to convert it first if you send it to the FTM wallet.
