Both Fantom and Avalanche are great picks. I would guess they are probably the best "Eth Killers" by quite a long shot (what else really comes close?). With that said, Avalanche clearly has a better ability to scale into something massive than Fantom, given how decentralised it is and its ability to have permissioned subnets as well as the main permissioned chain.

Needing $1.5m to become a validator is a bit whack.

Has anyone here tried actually using Avalanche? It has the worst UX I ever seen. I'm in crypto since 2017 and while using AVAX I thought I lost my coins multiple times when converting between chains or whatever the fuck that useless feature is.
It's too complex, and I have zero faith it will catch any market share.
