29552853 No.29552853 [Reply] [Original]

Avalanche is in a completely different league than Fantom. Avalanche enables enables high throughput, sub second finality whilst being able to scale to tens of thousands + validators. Fantom on the other hand has 39 and to be a validator you need a minimum of 3.175 million FTM (over $1.5 million) and even then numbers are restricted.

Avalanche is a platform of platforms where application specific blockchains can be built, using a variety of custom vms, permissioned or permissionless and rules that can be set for subnets to comply with regulation such as require validators to be in a certain jurisdiction or license/meet GDPR requirements and more which will be a massive appeal to enterprises.

Avalanche also has a huge team of experts who have delivered an incredible amount I'm a very short amount of time, Fantom has been live for like 2 and a half years and barely any adoption, with most of the work being done by Andre.

It's not a zero sum game and there will be many blockchains, with Avalanche being a platform of platforms with thousands of subnets each with potentially multiple blockchains within, the scope is just far larger.

Basically if FTM is pumping this hard you can expect much more from AVAX.

Fear and facts are two very different things fren. There are just the facts. It seems like you're afraid of them though. Maybe it's time to take the pill.

No you’re right, Avax superior, Fantom = inferior. Buy Avax and stay away from Fantom at all cost.

Reverse fud. Any AVAX holder know it's impossible for FTM to be comparable to AVAX (Or any other platform by design), Acknowledging FTM just give it undeserved legitimacy.

Just seeing all the FTM pajeets celebrate an unwarranted shilled pump through a market-wide dump shows how undervalued AVAX is still. Can anyone explain why FTM was pumping so hard? AVAX dumped partially due to market conditions and the bug but it's still leaps and bounds beyond anything FTM is capable of. Seems we're overdue for a correction upwards too

FTM is a working product with hardened-hands investors. It's mooning for this reason. It has the ability to scale to >1k nodes but it doesn't have the potential AVAX has when it comes to decentralisation. Both will do really well i see no reason in not buying both.

The amount of unintelligent FUD in here is hilarious, that chart compares nothing but garbage including market caps that change, bullshit TX costs that can be adjusted by governance, and includes facts that are not even true ex. doublespend, D/W suspension due to Binance fuckery not AVAX itself, etc

AVAX is more equipped to have governments working on it than any other project. Bonus blocks aren't even produced faggot it was a string name in some codebase implemented to help solve the minting bug.

hearty kek though lads, take your meds

Both Fantom and Avalanche are great picks. I would guess they are probably the best "Eth Killers" by quite a long shot (what else really comes close?). With that said, Avalanche clearly has a better ability to scale into something massive than Fantom, given how decentralised it is and its ability to have permissioned subnets as well as the main permissioned chain.

Needing $1.5m to become a validator is a bit whack.

Has anyone here tried actually using Avalanche? It has the worst UX I ever seen. I'm in crypto since 2017 and while using AVAX I thought I lost my coins multiple times when converting between chains or whatever the fuck that useless feature is.
It's too complex, and I have zero faith it will catch any market share.
Fantom is the future.

>useless feature
>worst UX

three subchains for smart contracts, storage, and staking must be too complex for your pajeet brain to understand, go back to your cubicle ranjesh and put the headset back on, the adults are talking

if you somehow lost money doing the clearly outlined subchain transfers in the AVAX wallet you really are a brainlet and deserve to lose it all

Instantly thought the same. It's always Fanties that bring up AVAX everywhere. Vaxxies honestly just don't really care about FTM.

Emin Gün Sirer:
>Cornell CS Prof who created the first POW protocol ever in 2003
>Co Director of IC3 which is 180+ researchers and 6 Unis
>EGS shills Link & is in close partnership with the Chainlink team
>Vitalik endorses EGS & already acknowledged Avalanche is a Breakthrough on par with BTC
>like Sergey EGS toured around the world for years educating People about decentralization

Avalanche protocol:
>The third consensus protocol after Nakamotos PoW and Classical
>basically consensus is reached by probabilistic sampling thousands of independent nodes over multiple rounds
>This is not repackaged shit with minimal tinkering here and there its a completely new type of Consensus Protocol
>4500+ REAL TPS (no bullshit tricks, batching, or centralized L2)
>it can scale to MILLIONS of Validators while maintaining high tps & sub second finality
>more decentralized than everything else
>running a Node is easy & hardware requirements are low
>Resists 51% attacks (would need 80%)

Tokenomics & Profit:
>hardcapped
>AVAX needed for staking & delegating
>needed to participate in governance of the network
>fees are burned & is burned when Subnets, Blockchains or other assets are created
>currently 10% APY
>only requirement to receive the rewards is 60% node uptime
>node costs ca. 20 bucks a month on a VPS

Subnetworks:
>sub networks can be launched on Avalanche with near infinite customization
>plug in and use the Avalanche Consensus for your already existing Blockchain so you dont have to build your own (like with decentralized oracles)
>Chainlink already moving to Avalanche
>AVAX node may be a member of many subnets & earn rewards from them!

Full EVM support:
>All ETH infrastructure can work on AVAX out of the box
>athereum.avax.network/
>Big picture: in no time the best parts of the entire crypto ecosystem can be mirrored on Avalanche and giving it all the TPS, scalability, speed and interoperability that it needs for the next stage

Use your critical thinking skill and imagine explaining that to normies, or try imagining how far this shit is right now from being used by non-power users. I have zero faith in this project if this is what they launched initially, it looks as if no thought was put into making it usable to dumb people.

Some people are destined to stay poor.
