classic BAT

Theres a lot to unpack in that roadmap. I could literally make about 2-3 hours worth of content giving an in depth high level overview. I can try and give some basic cliff notes on what is really important though.

The main takeaway is the broader focus. Brave has always been about mass market through easy to use UI/UX and cannibalizing the crypto market through a bottom up approach rather than a "if you build it they will come" approach. I was honestly not expecting to see a roadmap this bullish. Basically what they are saying is "we have the users, they are loyal, and we are going to get even more of them and make everything so easy a babby can do it." Brave is building out api's,fiat gateways,wallets,dexes, and payment rails to accomplish this.

You have to understand the larger crypto ecosystem and tokenized economy to fully grasp what they are doing. The big picture is that the wallet,dex,payment rail could likely facilitate 80-90% of the future crypto market. You would essentially interact with a token like sia,render,gala,etc etc through api's and your wallet both forward and backwards and thats where the dex/fiat gateways come in. Lets take render for example. You either need graphic rendering work, or you are providing the rendering. You are either earning the token or using it. If you earned the token you are going through the render/bat pair to get out, or if you want the token you are going through the fiat gateway or earning it through the browser then going through the dex for the bat/render pair. If this happens you will have massive amounts of BAT token pairings to provide liquidity and if lots of these Dapps are successful in the future you could expect trillions of dollars in BAT liquidity pairings.

Also the reason you would switch from a token like render back into BAT vs something like ethereum would be for the ease of use. Specifically the payment rails I mentioned earlier (the BAT SKU)

My main concern is that they are trying to do too many things at once. I dig the ditching of uphold as the sole way of token management. But 1) The core featureset that they had been previously saying would be to come, was great. I don't think they are stretching themselves thin at all. Just for reference, applications like uniswap were built with less than 10 engineers. Brave has some pretty crazy advantages compared to other companies. They are privately held with almost no dilution. A large majority of their work is stolen from google who stole from them 15 years ago. They have a very loyal fanbase who got them to 25.4m for very cheap in a short amount of time, and brave still has a UGP warchest, and the customer acquisition cost looks like its only getting cheaper. Then theres one extremely huge advantage that you won't find in any tech company. This whole time they have been building for profitability quickly.

Braves focus now is scale, and additional products and features. The real heavy push is about to begin. Its a race to the first 100m active users, and brave has a pretty good chance of hitting it by a wide margin.
