Used to be a time when whites knew their history but it's all been hidden and rewritten. The Union Jack is named so because Britain was a melting pot for the children of Jacob, the American Flag has 13 stripes representing the 12 tribes of Israel with Ephraim being the 13th since he inherited half of Joseph's land.
The Irish language of Gaelic is nearly identical to Hebrew.
The tribe of Dan became the Danish.
Many European countries have the cross as their flag, they used to be displayed longway over front doors. The Union Jack has the + and x representing Alpha and Omega in Hebrew.
I could keep going on but it's far off topic.

Your going to want some scientific background for a start, basics in geology etc. Contact the Colorado School of Mines or any of the other major regional universities, they will tell you what you need to get to a ticketed level. I dont know many details on the american side compared to the Canadian version.

Also let me state that being an exploration geo means your going to be working in some utterly shit places for 6+ months of the year often with people you hate. Military might actually be handy for this.

That does not look good at all. You need to find someone who has the tools (such as the Sigma Metalytics device) that can do a good quality assay. On your own using non-destructive measures, you can carefully measure the dimensions of the bar, measure its mass, and determine if it falls within the realm of reasonability for density.

I've gotten 0.9999 fine coins from the US Mint directly (inb4 the US government shafted me) that ended getting one or two tiny red spots (probably copper impurities) on them but I've never seen discolorations such as in your photo.

Land however is a pretty good bet.

Ammo and guns are definitely good bets. Also, you could invest in some solar for your home so you have power in case the grid is affected, and/or energy prices go through the roof. You can trade with neighbors for charging their tablets for them.

I don't think anyone who knows anything about precious metals is calling platinum solely an industrial metal. I would argue that one of the reasons that it is not as common in use as jewelry or as a bullion store of wealth is because it looks like silver. Given two highly-polished pieces of jewely or ingots, one of silver and one of platinum, I don't know if very many people could distinguish one from the other.

I think the biggest reason why platinum is not treated much as a financial instrument is that it's quite new (humans only discovered and isolated it a few hundred years ago) while gold and silver have been used for thousands of years.

None of that precludes a person from buying platinum to use as a store of wealth or for speculation purposes, though. You just have to be aware that it is going to be less liquid than gold or silver and, due to the larger percentage of mined platinum being used in industrial applications versus something like gold, the price of platinum will be more closely correlated to the general state of the economy (boom times or recessions/depressions) and its need for platinum as an input to manufactured goods.

Of course it does. It contains 1 troy ounce of pure gold and a few grams of silver and copper alloyed in for hardness. That is the least you should expect. The major bullion dealers have an obligation to assay the gold they buy from private investors (and perhaps they have an obligation to assay random samplings from governments) to ensure that customers don't get ripped off. I don't know if you still want to own gold or not but if I were in your shoes, I would either demand a full refund or a replacement gold bar that is known to be authentic (either assayed if used or a brand-new one from a trusted refiner). I would have a certain expectation, too, that the dealer give me a little something extra for my troubles.

She was got punk rock off the ground by way of The Sex Pistols "God Save the Queen". You just didn't shit talk the queen but they did and it got noticed, and a new genre of music became. It was there before the Pistols, but didn't get a following until they bashed the reptile lady. The rest is history.

Whether or not they have weasel word disclaimers and limited return periods or whatever is a different story, which is where the reputation factor comes in. I'll update the board when I get a response. Thanks again.
