The one thing that people love is a person with a passion. That's one of the defining characteristics of charisma. If you have a passion, and your friend has expressed interest in it, they will want to hear your knowledge.

I'd be so fucking happy if me and my bros all made it together. And even my friends that don't invest, if they're close enough to me, I'm still going to help them out (this is assuming I've made it, of course).
