in my opinion, NFTs that are simply images or animated images that can be copied and cloned endlessly are not actually worth anything. sure, there's a record somewhere in the blockchain that you have the token that represents "the original" (kek) but it's just too bullshit.

however, NFTs will become valuable when they are more than just a png. when they can be worn in a game, when they give you access to something personalized that nobody else has access to... when you can do something with them that others cannot do. they will then, be worth real money.

I'm surprised there isn't a pepe coin or something yet.

Then you would know it's not a pepe, it's an eastertoad. It was posted a few years ago on /int/ in some "Draw the Eastertoad" thread

this is the problem that NFTs/Tokenization solves.

Heres an idea:
>Mining facilitates transactions of said token/whatever it's a new type of deal maybe dubs can name it.
>Instead of receiving a balance for mining, you receive a fair amount of these tokens.
>Each token you mine has the random-art type of data which can be represented as a picture. (Maybe even uses a trained model instead of random pixels)
>Inflation is not an issue since most of them will be worthless, unless you mine some rare shit. (Think of virgin Mary potato chip)
>Curators go through the inventories of miners and make offers for tokens resembling memes/lewds/words.
>They are then traded on a market like rare pepsis or baseball cards.
