off the top of my head there is oraclize who fucked up and a lot of money were lost, so they then rebranded to provable and became a chainlink node.
then there is the flash loan attack that compound lost millions of user funds over, because they relied on one oracle from coinbase and not a network of them. there are more examples like this i'm sure others can fill in, "bending the knee" to link was a meme for while haven't seen it recently though.
