I want to buy a house in Miami Beach but i need to build it for 1 million so i can make it soundproof so i dont hear niggers blasting bass. I’m extremely sensttive to bass music and it gives me anxiety. I have lived with constant anxiety related to people blasting bass music in every single place i have lived in including Michigan, Arizona, and Florida. I need cinder block construction and quiet rock drywall which costs a fortune to completely eliminate niggers blasting bass from my life.

They're right, anon.
2 million could be enough if you want to live on 40K/year for the rest of your life. That $40K will be enough for one sad hand job by the time you're 10 years into retirement.

The cost of living increased in Austin TX by 24% in 3 years. How long will $40K/y be enough?

The IRS allows 80K in long term capital gains before incurring tax, so people should target at least that amount in withdraws. But that will only let you live in lower middle class.

The math is simple. Check it out.

The 4% rule would say $2MM gives you $80k per year for life, which is more than enough when you realize 100% of that can potentially be spent since you're no longer accumulating savings.
I make $60k per year, but I actually LIVE on $25-30k per year because the rest is saved for retirement or otherwise invested. I won't need $60k per year to maintain my standard of living just because that's my income.
Same with OP, that $80k will go a lot further if he's not accumulating savings and is already set for life.

A mortgage is exactly what you want (if you can secure a <2.9% rate).
Google German Inflation King

If you can live comfortably now, it would be best NOT to liquidate any BTC.

To answer your original question, 40 BTC should be enough to make it, and will likely get you over your $10M retirement target.

Also, unless you have money burning a hold in your pocket, I wouldn't buy any more BTC if you're already sitting on 40 BTC.

Spread out your risk of ownership. Backdoor your Roth and load it up with BTC EFTs or GBTC.

Good luck brother. Don't let these poors with their poor-people mentality get you roused.

First of all, fuck yeah living well below your means. Takes real discipline.

Regarding retirement, you're absolutely right for many scenarios.
There are a lot more factors then just your savings and withdraw rate.

Pic attached is one example.

Something to think about... is what exactly are you going to do during retirement.
YOU are probably able to save a lot of your current income because you're at work all day.

But what if you didn't have to work?
What if you just went golfing with tinder models every day?
Or tried to start a dog park business?
Or decide you want to restore cars?

The rising costs for hobbies, houses, and hoes, is far outpacing the market and inflation index, which the 4% rule is founded on.

tl;dr - You're right. But having more money is more better.

My yearly budget is less than $30k per year and I don't even sacrifice anything I want. For me, $750k on the 4% rule is enough to make it. Not everyone lives in overpriced shithole coastal cities, but even out there if you think you need $20MM to make it then you'll never make it.

Why is it set for 100% cash instead of 100% stocks or 80/20 stocks/bonds, though? Chances of success will skyrocket if you're not keeping your money in a mattress.

You bring up valid concerns, though I'd say if you start up a business or restore cars or something that would make you money and stretch your nest egg much further since you'd potentially be able to pay yourself profits from those businesses and thus expand your spending power. That kind of thing is a lot easier to do once you don't have 40+ hours of every week taken from you.
