Officially made it to 20k this morning!
>>29381408Did you know that the average penny silver stock went up 150 times in price, when the price of silver merely doubled? Think about that for a moment. The AVERAGE penny silver stock—I'm not talking about one or two stocks here—the AVERAGE one—went up 150 TIMES—when silver merely DOUBLED. One company, Coeur d'Alene, even went up 1000x! Does this sound unbelievable to you? Well, trust me, it’s really true. It happened between 1962 and 1968, and similar things have taken place in subsequent silver bull markets. The data is common knowledge among academics, and is right there to read in Doug Casey’s 1980 classic economics book “Crisis Investing.”Bayhorse Silver (TSXV: BHS; OTCBB: KXPLF; FSE: 7KXN) is one of the only penny silver stocks which can DEMONSTRABLY go 100x from here at $60 silver. This is on the basis of imminent production (1.3 million ounces per year) and future cash flow (cost per ounce as low as $7) at a 30x cash-flow valuation, vs present market cap, which is minuscule—only $20 million! At $60 silver, you could turn a $1000 investment into $100,000. At $1000 silver, Bayhorse might go 2000x—you could turn $1000 into $2 million!$60 silver is obviously inevitable. But what’s more, the COMEX is going to break, imminently. 20-day deliveries of 10.4 million from 02/19/21 are the highest amount ever over the past 20 years. If that breakage happens, silver could go anywhere, from $500 to $5000. Where is the price of Bayhorse then? Don’t miss the opportunity of a lifetime in BHS! We’re still at rock bottom, and, without exaggeration, this investment might be bigger than 2010 Bitcoin.

NRG is dipping hard, maybe because of power shortages in texas, but it's fundamentals look alright, so keep it in sigt, since there might be profits to be made after they release Q4 financial results on next monday. >>29386766I will, but it's just holding my portfolio down with QCOM.

Days like today really hurt for those that are tech-heavy.
Speaking of, what's the current breakdown of your oil positions? the zoomed-out on OXY looks pretty nice and could make a long-term comfy hold. I know suncor has been posted here a few times and that's up bigly today.
>>29389403My poor, poor AAPL calls... I did good with ORCL though.
Any of you friends here holding GTE? I bought in rather high and finally just sold for a profit today. Now I want back in because I think it's going somewhere due to oil blasting off.Should I buy in tomorrow/wednesday on the dips or wait all the way until next week after earnings to buy in? People are thinking earnings won't hurt the price but I think they're just being hopeful.

>>29386190>>29386766I don't want to power-FUD PLTR in a comfy thread (I got that out of my system on the weekend). But PLTR is not a very good company. They will have scaling issues pretty soon. If they can keep their govt contracts, they may not have financial issues, but to me it looks like they will implode as soon as free debt dries up.

>>29390901Yeah, that's what I did in 2020Q4. But I just had to FOMO into the "cool quick trading scene" after seeing people beat the 3% inflation every single day.Absolutely uncomfy and not worth the money.
>>29391048Buy puts on MARA and friends. Although I woulnd't do that. I had this "crypto's gonna crash any day now" feeling since December.
>>29391241I'll unironically start selling crypto for the first time in 5 years on the next leg up. Now is too early.
I've researched one of my biomemes yesterday, and I wanted to share this (again) with you, because it's pretty based. The symbol in question is LCTX, they make off-the-shelf stem cells, and they already have 2 therapies in Phase 1 and 2: one is for age-related retina degeneration and one is for spinal injuries. Absolutely great preliminary results, and they are coming out with more results before april.Their main thing is that they don't need to culture your own stem cells, but they just inject you with their pre-made ones, which is way cheaper. What about immune reactions tho? This is where jew magic comes in. They basically made kosher stem cells:>Most of the reported hESC lines worldwide are not ideal for use in clinical trials. They were developed without adherence to Good Manufacture Practices (GMPs), using animal-derived research-grade reagents, which may infect the cells with animal pathogens. Moreover, many cell lines were derived and cultured on animal feeder cells, which may contaminate the hESCs by nonhuman sialic acid Neu5Gc molecules, which can elicit immune rejection after transplantation [3] and may render them as xenotransplantation products [4],[5]. In order to use hESC derivatives for clinical applications, the hESCs (clinical-grade hESCs) should ideally be developed under stringent ethical guidelines, from traceable and tested donors, preferably in an animal-free, GMP-grade culture system.>...>To avoid the use of feeders from mouse origin, we developed and compared feeders from three primary human tissues including FORESKIN, aborted fetuses and umbilical cord. [Editor: They later dropped everything but the umbilical cord cells]>...>we replaced porcine-skin-derived research-grade gelatin with recombinant gelatinAnd so on. So they now basically have a bunch of ethically human-only kosher stem cell cultures, and inject the ones that is most compatible with your own cells.According to preliminary results, this works very well.
>>29391048Obviously miners since they will always dump harder than Bitcoin itself overtime, if Bitcoin for example enters a decent correction period where it grinds down to low 40k or something.. miners will probably dump 50%. Or you could go on a crypto exchange and short it there (with leverage aswell if you want that), I prefer crypto exchanges personally
>>29389403Been selling a bunch of tech recently, but I'm still down around 0.8% today. Not as bad as it could be, but maybe a sign that I should further diversify away from tech.

SOXL-SAMA YAMEROOOOOO
>>29392462Looks like a bull trap right now. If you want EVs, go with F.
Don't know what to buy and POWW the one thing I wanted to buy is pumping. Aaahhh I just started trading and it's like I have a second savings account now.
>>29392462The Gov contract ain't happening. First, it's a govt contract, so expect at least 1 year of delay. Now that the USPS has been fucked by Trump, and now that the Dems taken over and possibly causing more chaos before finally put things in order, the delay can be even more. Also the contract will probably go to Ford and OshKosh, when they announce an EV truck. They have a ton of money for "lobbying", and WKHS doesn't. Also the WKHS trucks don't look that good, and their facility and manufacturing capabilities are a joke. The CEO is an MBA faggot.I bought into RIDE instead, because their truck looks pretty good, they are still on target, and the whole management team looks great. The CEO is an all-around great guy. And if WKHS gets the USPS contract, the RIDE share price will increase too because of the ownership structure. The only risk their is their fixation on hub motors (it's the CEO's fetish), which may pose a reliability risk down the line, but I think it will take years to manifest.
>>29392239Yeah we have been talking about ISWH for a while now, it has been performing so damn good. If it does a MARA/RIOT (few cents to $40+) I could retire, which I wouldn't because that would be boring but you know
>>29392879Unironically just DCA into SPY until you did some deep(ish) research into a stock. You will do better that way. Also watch this:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72Pq5zKEi_g&t=600s

Did you see a new binary exchange Baex ( #baex)? Looks like this is not so bad with all these instruments, fiat currencies, BTC, ETH, stock indices. They also offer algorithmic profitability with a self-balanced pool, so passive income is also available, as I see
>>29395611almost all of feb gains are gone just like the last like 2 days of jan deleted all of its gains too
>>29395490> since the market is involved the conflict of interests make it doubtful,Yeah, this is why I only put money into low-cap early-phase clinical stage companies. That makes it so much easier. If their stuff works, its a 2-3x. If it doesn't, 50-80% drop. No need to think about market implications and such.ADMP looks relatively sketchy, because they are entering into a highly saturated market with I guess new delivery methods? Those are always pretty risky, and there is no good way to tell if it's going to be successful or not.Looking into Standard of care for the things they do is extremely important.MRNA is also way too hot for my taste. The covid vaccine business is super complex, and I don't like things I can't predict, or at least reduce to simple probabilities.

Opinion on divvy stocks? I was given the advice that dividend paying stocks are really good if you invest alot into it, but under a certain amount of shares it’s not entirely worth it. I’m willing to throw down $1k at this time.
>>29395789i found the mRNA technology groundbreaking, some others have trying it since 2016 or so , but all the global investment on it made the preservation methods available for distribution , development and large clinical trials possible, from med perspective we talking about posible hiv , dengue zika, chikungunya , malariea vaccines in a close future and even personalized cancer treatment , but in a stock market perspective it makes me confus pfizer has the tech too but their stock doesn't price up as they are already huge in the game , so that's why I am seeing MRNA
>>29396518not really worth getting into divvies unless you're putting multiple tens of thousands into it, unless you're satisfied with +0.01% every day
>>29396304I highly doubt that the OPEC will let oil prices fly that high for long tho. They only increased prices becasue they needed the money for their COVID relief spending. >>29401383bro reading their products is super cool; This shit is like a billion dollar thing waiting to happen. Age related blindness treated with one injection? Stem cells are fucking cool
>>29401383>umbilical chords and lab-grown fetusesI don't think you quite understand the bible thumpers. It's not that they love babies, so much as they hate science and scientists. Not to say aborted fetuses are easy to get ahold of, so there's probably a cost advantage to be found.
>>29401383Doubt what you wish in regards to my researching and DD abilities, much less my professional background. Well...last Tuesday's webinar announced two deals worth an immediate $200 million are being finalized. Biossance is expanding to China. Celebrity spokespeople are opening AMRS-founded beauty care lines. The company is acquiring another beauty-related company. Oh...they also released today's PR concerning room temperature stability of vaccines using their products. But what do I know considering my supposed poor research abilities? Cheers.
still very bearish
>>29401677Because you're brave fren. Because you believe in your investments. And I believe in you.
>>29401677checked and it's cause you're based and knowledgepilled

>>29401831Did I hit a nerve, lol? Are you trying to justify your buy in post-hoc? Because it sounds like it.

>>29401677>timing the market>time in the marketYou chose wisely.
>>29385091GOD FUCKING DAMMIT...
>>29402086What was the original reason you bought? "It looked good" is not DD.
GE was a good call, get in here lads.
>>29401831It's not really DD if you're just listing to the in-house propaganda. Every company wants to make themselves look good to investors.
>>29402177The science, its profit margin, and sustainability. Believe it or not, I have a PhD in biology and lived in Emeryville (where their headquarters are located) during my post-doc at Cal. I've also tried their Biossance products and use exclusively their Pipette products for my 4-month old.
>>29402351Ok. Watch and see.
>>29401784Well, they only need so many fetuses for their cell bank to have an immune-compatible culture for everyone, and from the looks of it, they got it already. It's not like that south park episode where they need a constant supply of aborted fetuses lol.
>>29402367What's your opinion on them using only yeast stuff? I've heard that this severely limits the molecules they can actually make, as opposed to some of their competitors who are willign to use bacteria too.
>>29402587I don't really care if they use yeast or bacteria. What I do care about is their ability to market the molecules they can produce.
another leg down on the nasdump
>>29402717That's fair. Althoguh my original reason for not buying them was twofold: their whole pitch was "we can make ANY molecule", "like millions of them dude, one of them will surely have some applications", which sounded super fucking sketchy. And I wasn't convinced they can scale production.Looks like they figured out their actual niche (beauty shit of all things, ugh), and production, good for them.
ACEV bros... I'm getting cold... my 12.5c
>>29402206I feel like I missed my chance. I went with F instead.I'll keep it on my radar for the next correction. Boomer stocks are just so comfy.
>>29402877I suspect they can make any molecule given extensive enough manipulation of the yeast genome. And they certainly have figured out the scaling up of production. Good luck to you.
>>29400597ima put a giant one on my car when i make it
Hey goys, just dipped into YANG. Holding long term, hopefully we go to war with China in the next four years!
>>29403026>I suspect they can make any molecule given extensive enough manipulation of the yeast genome?? Maybe any protein. But to make any molecule? No, that's scifi. You cannot have an enzyme for every possible reaction. In fact, you only have maybe thousands of enzymes and have to hope they will work okay in tandem.Or are you talking about strictly proteins?
>bought crypto shit miners on fri>sold cryptoshit miners in PM before the dump>rebought when everyone sold >mfw

>>29393372What’s funny about this. I’m up almost 200% on all airlines I bought last year.
I haven't traded stocks today.I unironically like my current positions and believe they will go up. I'm waiting for a green day to sell covered calls. It's such a boring day.I bought unspecified amount of Monero after the dump today, though.
>>29403502Entering six digit hell.
>>29402974>not just holding comfy sharesI am perfectly content. But I hope for your sake those calls are dated further out than this month like some kind of degenerate gambler
>>29403621get it done frendo
>>29403502I'd like to get to 50k, starting with 22k2x is tough but I think I can do it with a bit of luck
>>29403541nice, Monero is one of the few actually good coins
>>29403665they're spread out over a few months. I do have some 3/19 calls that I bought like a month and a half ago though and those are feeling pretty uncomfy
>>29403772Yeah, I believe in it, too.I want to set up a business and accept Monero eventually.
>>29403697you got this, just consistently invest and make sure you do your due diligence. the hardest part is getting the first 100K then it gets easier from there.
>silver futuresDamn, is JPM not going to hammer the price down or what? I thought the whole financial system was at stake.
What happen to the SMG threads? Are stocks dead? Sell signal
What are the potential downsides to selling covered at the money calls for a stock I hold? As I see it, I am taking profits on a position and collecting a premium on it to. And only really "miss out" if it climbs substantially above my strike. Am I missing something here? Seems like an easy way to just get another dollar per share on my position.
>>29403502hope to cash out 6 figures from crypto then put most of it in boomer etfs and the rest into stablecoins and lend for 15%. it's really boring but I'm thinking long term.
>>29403502my goal is to not be negative but nasdump is making it hard
>>29404737There are two negative scenarios- You "miss out" if there is a gap up. In the long run IV is usually bigger than actual volatility, so you are mathematically better off- The stock goes down by more than your premium, and maybe keeps going down, and you can't sell it without buying back your call first. The call will be way cheaper though, probably. So yeah, selling calls is literally free money. Just don't do it around earnings or catalysts.
>>29404139I’ve almost reached 100k. Still hard for me. What am I doing wrong?
>>29404737If you get assigned you will need to sell it, and can't sell calls for another date, unless you buy the stock back.If you already had profits from the stock going up, they will get capitalized, which might have tax implications.
>>29403502Get to 5 figures minimum. This includes me adding to my stocks. Optimistic goal is $20k (currently at $3k) by end of the year, but that will only happen if investments are good too.
>>29405163>tax implicationsFor once I'm glad to live in an eastern european shithole, where they still haven't outlawed Tax Straddles.
down 3% today lads. I'm really bad at this shit.

>>29405396>Tax StraddlesHow do these work?
sour hour will destroy my account
>>29405469down 2.99% today, get fucked loser
>>29406023You buy two equities or contracts that move in the exact opposite way (e.g. you buy a call for 24 months away, and sell one 25 months away). Wait for them to move a bit (or a lot), and just before taxes you sell the one for a realized loss. After the tax date, you sell teh other leg for the same profit. This way you can roll your profits to the next year, and you can do this indefinitely. There are more complex patterns with even less risk like a Tax Butterfly, if you search about them. It's been outlawed in the US since the 80's and the IRS is on a lookout for these schemes.
nasdump looking to drop another 200 points before close
severe diarrhea
>>29406665>buy, sellUgh, I used confusing terminology. So the example is- Long silver future 2023.01- Short silver future 2023.02- Wait for silver to move. E.g. let's say it went up- Exit the short position a day before tax date, "lose" $10K- Exit the long position a day after tax date, and "win" $10KEasy as. I deliberately used silver futures, because before the 80s, the COMEX actually had "tax straddle hours", where no actual trading could happen that would move the prices other than these tax-specific futures.
havent seen such bearishness since september
Prepare your anus.
making new lows at EOD means more red tomorrow. 7 red days in a row for the nasdump
>China with its current policies would not be conducive to the RMB as a reserve currency. However, over the next decade, China's policies will adapt as it becomes the GDP champion. China's very efficient and decisive command economy will adjust to its new reality, to its benefit.
>>29407440the fact that "yields concerns" are causing this shit makes me worried what'll occur when the yield hike actually confirms. that rug is going to pull at breakneck speeds.

Please Mr. Wealthsimple I just want to trade with the fun stocks.
>>29400597>going outI don't follow
>>29407117I'm not an expert but it doesn't seem to scale very well.Following your example. If your gains that year were $10k, then good. But if they were more then you still would have to pay some tax.Now let's suppose it goes well. Next year you need to offset the gains from that year + $10k straddled from the previous year.Although now that I think about it you probably could try to offshot your target losses and it would still work as well.
>>29407646i dont get why nasdump is getting hit so hard and the dow is way up. even smallcaps which are like 10x more overbought than anything else arent effected
>>29407440Haha, keep the red days coming.
>>29399491I did, but not enough. Give me a week or two and I'll have a comfy foothold. Take note of it >>29405334
>>29407977Well, after some time most of your capital will be untaxed and once you have to "straddle" something like 40% of your whole account the whole scheme implodes. But at that point you should instead go the corporate way and do classic corpo tax evasion.
What the fuck is wrong with AMD
>>29408190My idea was not to sell for years and then move to a country with low to no taxation for a year to cash out. I live in the EU.Does this sound sensible to you?

holy fuck
>>29408457It could work. I'm not sure what the rules are around capital transfers. We have tax free stock-based savings account for your use-case though. You put money in, and you can do whatever you want with it other than taking money out for 5 years. Then take the money out tax free.

wow this has no support. dropping like the piece of shit it is
>>29409208Clover (android 4chan mobile app that hasn't been updated in 4 years) defaults to saving as the original filename
>>29409355Huh. Ok.
>>29409255i dont know, /cmg/ is still clearly the superior thread. it only has 90 posters and a single thread for the entire trading day. that's goodthe biggest issue is that late night and weekend /smg/ still suck and thats where i had the most worthwhile discussion beforehand. now i dont really talk to anyone
>>29409015Another hungarian here. What broker do you use?Are long-dated options viable for tax straddles?
>>29389674Long on suncor. Good valueWhitecap resources has had decent call options.
Jesus christ, what do you call this pattern? It's like a thrown rock. Too bad it's bringing the whole QQQ with it.

>>29409921+1
>pic is my sum P&L and individual positions>surprisingly comfy, considering what a wild day this was.>>29410549Nah, no TBSZ right now. But there will be EOY, since they moved to Budapest. RC is fucking janky lol, but it is the best TBSZ currently.
>>29410759Yeah, RC is definitely jank as fuck, their app and webpage are ancient and barely work, but the commissions are okay, at least compared to the other brokers that support TBSZ.>But there will be EOY, since they moved to BudapestHoly fucking good news, can't wait to move my account over when it actually happens.
so was today enough to flush out all the newniggeres from this fucking board?
