Yes. I did say that, because you would have. I never said anything about predicting the future. If you bet on the winning horse you would have won. What's wrong with acknowledging this? This is a board for discussing such things. You seem to be under the impression that I'm judging people for not making the correct choice 100% of the time but I'm not, I was merely explaining to the anon why people measure in sats, and why people are saying Link has underperformed, which it has, and how we know this is the case. The fact is that if you make the right choice then you have made the right choice, and while that may not be an easy thing to see at the time, we can certainly tell afterwards what the right choice was and the way in which we do that is by measuring an asset against another asset, usually dollars, but in the case of crypto we use BTC, and SATS, which brings me onto my next point; the reason we measure in sats and not dollars is because nobody trades shitcoins with dollars, they use other cryptos, commonly Eth and BTC. Even with the advent of stablecoins people still primarily trade in BTC. The whole market is tied to it.
YES BTC might be measured in dollars but so what? You can hold Chainlink and have the price shoot up 10 dollars without any real, actual, solid price appreciation ever happening because BTC mooned. If Bitcoin shoots up in value the price of every altcoin is dragged up with it unless it drops in sats.
I'm not going to explain this further to you, I'm tired, fucking lurk moar.

You seriously have all the mental acuity of a small child.

>If you bet on the winning horse you would have won.
Three things:
1) even if I follow your childish logic: my point was that there are hundreds of horses that did even better than BTC, so no you would not have "won"
2) even if I again follow your childish logic: Chainlink only entered the race in September 2017, so you should be counting from there
3) this isn't actually a race to see who gets to be "first", it's about making money. And there's always something that does better so comparing does very little.

Which is a large part of the reason why pricing in sats is retarded. You’re measuring the speed of a moving target by looking at another moving target.

Fiat is the standard of measure for everything.
Sure, market niches are communicating vessels within themselves (and between each other if shit really hits the fan), but it doesn’t change the fact that everything is priced in fiat by everyone.
Back in 2008 the housing market crashed and took everything with it; but it doesn’t mean everything was priced in “houses”.
