If the dollar and US government are seen as stable, yes, money flowing out of treasuries into risk assets causes yields and stocks to rise.

If, however, they are not, then money flowing out of treasuries only indicates a loss of confidence in the system. People GTFOing before inflation starts BTFOing.

So stocks'll still rise, but not for a good reason. Borrowed time.

Here's some history:
January 2020: 121.60
March 2020: 9.74
February 2021: 20.94

In other words, it is only 17% of its pre-covid value.

Now consider VDE (Vanguard Energy Index Fund)
January 2020: 71.87
March 2020: 38.22
February 2021: 64.02

It's up to 89% of its pre-covid value.

A preplaned demolition, like y2k, 2008, 2020, etc. Some specific sector(s) will be targeted and will take the plunge, the rest will follow for a few days and then recover, absorbing all the outflow from other stocks as soon as the boomers are ready to turn around.
Stocks only ever go up, just gotta make sure to select the right stocks. The current situation also makes them the only assets worth holding. If you're squeamish like a faggot, choose stocks that benefit from other effects than market-wide rallies, such as precious metal miners that will rally in a flight to gold or silver, or bitcoin miners that win out in a eCurrency flight scenario. Also get familiar with SPACs since they're immune from adverse market conditions.

Well you're limited in contributing by that $6k a year plus any Roth 401k money if your employer offers it.

At 59 1/2 you can withdraw all the dollars completely tax free (normal IRA taxes the dollars as income). Can withdraw some earlier through SEPP/72t or just eat a 10% penalty.

Trading wise, no margin, so you have to care about settled cash bullshit. Otherwise, you can trade stocks, options, pretty much anything else. It's more a tax designation than anything.

I would like to know what they're looking to do in Europe. Apples and oranges of course, but I know that AMRN is a biomeme that's optimistic about the European market while suffering significant setbacks in the U.S. court system regarding patents.

I hadn't thought of target date funds. Fuck, some of my 401k's in a target date fund (though I'm still down at 5% bond alloc so maybe not worth the hassle yet to intervene). That's probably exactly where this is going to come from, other than printing. Spending constraints and tax hikes both seem like a toss up, once again that seems to come down to technical details (what can and can't be done with reconciliation vs a full act of congress). I suppose ultimately this is boomers reaping what they sowed, but I'm still worried about my parents getting dumped on, my mom was overweight cash last we talked about investing...

The only correct amount to put in PLTR is 0 because historically, PLTR is a reddit pump and dump. Hate to break it to you folks, but it is. These are the facts. People saying it isn't, you're on the wrong side of the data. The entire market is being run by trade bots. Large amounts of PLTR have been already acquired by institutions and hedge funds, way before reddit was even aware of its existence.

I estimate each share of PLTR is valued at $5 maximum until larger companies want to use it, which currently they don't, because it is too expensive too. PLTR's services are too expensive, in general, to use anyway.

With that being said, PLTR is a garbage reddit stock which means the price has to remain low for companies to even want to use it. It is just the way it is right now.
