Holding it there since before the BCC fork. I copied down my BIP39 phrase.

After fork, I transfered all my BTC from blockchain.info into a separate wallet (one that doesn't support BCC). Confirmed, all coins "safe".

I downloaded electron cash, imported my seed, so I can use my BCC. But it actually has sent my BCC into that new wallet I generated. (The one that doesn't support BCC).

WHAT IS A SAFE NON SHADY WALLET FOR THIS

PPL ARE SAYING ALL THE WALLETS FOR THIS SHIT ARE UNSIGNED AND COULD STEAL BTC

>> No.2934391

Ok, so before I installed and made wallets with Electron Cash I sent all my BTC to a new wallet with a different seed so my BTC couldn't be stolen.

I've now made a few wallets with my old seeds on Electon Cash. Each and every single one of them shows a balance of 0 BCC. I can see the BTC transactions I made, and they are replicated in Electon Cash.

It says here in step 3 that it has relay protection.

https://electrum.org/bcc2.txt

On my end it doesn't look like that at all.

I even quickly did the seed of where my BTC is stored (then sent the BTC straight after) and as expected that had 0 BCC in it.

So what the fuck is going on? Why do none of my wallets that had BTC in it before and after the hardfork show in the Electon Cash wallet?

That's the main blockchain. When you switch the blockchain it affects the visible balance but not the transactions format. So your wallet starts showing your BTC balance but it can't spend BTC.

You moved it from an exchange to someone else's wallet. Just because they let you access it doesn't mean it's yours. They own the keys and can do whatever they please with them.

If they chose to not support BCC, or even just straight out take your BCC, then they have the power to do so. You gave them no BCC directly, it just appeared in their control from the BTC you had them hold.

You were supposed to move it to YOUR wallet.
Although in hindsight storing it on Bitrex would have been the best option. Since they're currently a locked trading bubble and you could have dumped already if you wanted. But no one could have seen that coming realistically.

not hindsight, it was well established before hand.

many threads were made about which exchanges were being kikes and keeping the bcc, bittrex announced they would credit people. This was basically an audit for these shady exchanges.

>> No.2934894

>>2934877
Yeah, it was known they'd support it. But not that they're allow trading before import/export.
The bubble here is what could not have really been predicted.
So even if you'd have chosen another exchange to hold it in that would support it, you'd still be left out.

never invest more than you can afford to lose; don't go all in on one coin; before investing research the project, the team, their track record if they have one, whether its market capitalization is over or undervalued, whether it has risen a lot recently (riskier), whether the people supporting it sound reasonable or are just shilling, ...
you don't need wallets for trading but it's good to have some for long term investments, trading exchanges carry the risk of disappearing with your coins, but having your own wallets carry some risks too which you should evaluate
