Hey biz, I'm 19 and I've recently made my first few thousand dollars gambling shitcoins on BSC, I want to make it but it's a fucking shitshow, this shit is so illiquid you can barely pour a grand into anything without it shitting the bed and your tx getting frontran

What was it like in 2017 when top 100 coins were doing 100x's? Will there ever be a time like that again?

Imagine going from working at a supermarket to never having to worry about money ever again.

That was 2017.

Did you or anyone you know make it?

Didn't make it then but turning 4k into 30k with zero experience was a mindfuck for me. In the past year I made around 300k from a 1k investment, and I missed other chances to make similar profits, so the opportunities are still there Imo. One useful thing to know: never sell your full bag. I can't even remember the times I sold something cuz I was in big profits and then it did another 5-20x on top of that

300k from a 1k investment? holy shit anon what the fuck did you buy?
and i see your point with the bag but i'll reserve that for bigger, more legit projects than the pnd shitcoins i'm trading now

A long time ago thousands of us here bought ANT shares that later became NIO. I never paniced so much in my life. I literally bought a Honda Accord with cash, and took a trip to the dominican on credit card and still had enough to enough to get a down payment on a conda on the outskirts of toronto.

that was the last bear market ever. big money coming in so most likely crypto will be an ongoing bull market for next 5-10 years like how the stock market has been

with the looming threat of another 2018 tier crash coming at any minute? I highly doubt it.
Crypto right now is purely psychology/speculation driven and I guarantee the average investors doesn't trust such a volatile market one bit.
All I'm saying is you better have an exit strat prepared if shit hits the fan, which it very well may.

It's called scaling out of your investment. Especially when things go parabolic. You should also price average into things if they are long term plays

That isn't actually what happened, or only in a couple of cases. Most shit didn't run even close to that amount, you'd be surprised.

4-7x was about it for most coins, from the time they were actually picked up.

>>29333203
true, it wasn't like all the coins were mooning. And looking at the charts doesn't tell you that most of them were already 5-10x since ICO or initial trading on some scam exchanges by the time they hit some CEXes and were accessible for the rest of us. I'm doing way better this time but maybe I just started too late in 2017

I was there and went from 20k to 180k. Watched some of my alts go from 25c to $10 but was too greedy to take any profits. Then the crashed happened and my portfolio quickly tanked. I sold most of my alts and consolidated to BTC/ETH at this time. My only regret was trading ~3000 LINKs for like ~1.5 ETH in Feb 2018. Not everyone who was there made it.

Bought XIO when it was crabbing at 1 cent back in march-april 2020, then it made a pump to 39 cents, retraced, and then after crabbing for a while it made another pump to 0.9$. Was dumb and I only sold a little during the second pump, cuz I thought it will get higher, but I got the FLASH airdrop and made some money on that too. Overall I think I made around 300-400k so far from this.

Yeah I agree with the pnd shitcoins, especially the ones on BSC. Sometimes though a projects has low price and marketcap from other reasons than being a shitcoin, like not enough marketing or other stuff, that's why it's best to do proper research on the smallcaps we buy.

>> No.29335337

>>29332641
btw you're doing fine, back in 2017 it took me over 4 months until I turned my initial 300-400$ into 4 figures

>> No.29335425

>>29335072
Price averaging means if you believe in the fundamentals, in the macro movement, you don't FOMO into the micro price action. You get in slowly and average out your buy over days. That way it's easier to HODL and less risky of a buy price. Mostly mental, but worth the slight loss in profits if you're right.

>> No.29335427

>>29332180
>>29332756

To add to this: Once you learn when to scale your profits, actually have a plan to use them.

I bought some BTC when it was worth $3k, let it ride, then sold some when BTC was $9k in 2018. Although I came out "ahead" from my initial investment for well over a year, it had just sat around in my Gemini account not doing shit until I rediscovered it a few weeks ago. I could have gone on a nice trip, or have had a cheap additional stake in BTC, but instead have neither.

For example let's say you want to hold AAVE long term. When the price of AAVE has a correction, you can buy some, or take out some money from a coin that pumped a lot and buy some cheap AAVE. Then after a while you can do that again, and so on until you reach a nice stack of AAVE. When the price drops more, buy more, since this is the way to drive your average price down. You can also buy while it goes up once in a while, but you can buy smaller stacks in this case.

>> No.29335860

I made 70k from an initial 3k off my credit card. I didn't sell and held most of my stack through the bear market.
