29275099 No.29275099 [Reply] [Original]

What books have you read recently and what do you recommend? They don't have to be strictly economics/personal finance.

I read Rich Dad Poor Dad. Initially, I was fine with just focusing on my career and working hard. But after reading the book, it helped me realize I can do more than that and the absurdity of working hard and not developing a passive income or investing in assets.

Next book I'm reading is "How to make Friends and Influence People", probably a schizo type book but I figure there is something I can learn from Dale Carnegie.

I've had a hard time getting myself to read fiction since the benefits aren't clear cut. I've started to read Sherlock Holmes though. I think reading fiction allows for more creative thinking which can be applied to many things.

Just finished "I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream". I know it's a short one but I wanted to know what the craze was about. I feel like I haven't yet fully understood it, because I took most of the things at face value, except for the repercussions of sentient AI and the possible unhuman hate it can inflict. I don't read many books outside of educational ones so this was a cool refresher.

Do /pol/tards have anything else to say? This is the equivalent of a lib calling someone a Nazi. Actual faggorty. Bet you're circumcised too lol.

I literally don't give a fuck what you think in terms of my "happiness, freedom and intelligence". I also don't care about yours or anyone's political opinions. All I wanted to know was what books you fuckers are reading. /pol/ is retarded board and you are one of the retards. Why? Because its a fucking echo chamber just like Reddit.

"Jew????YEAH FUCK THEM"
"Nigger?????YEAH FUCK THEM"
Its such an echo chamber that you have to spread out of ur containment board so you can hear a differing opinion like now.

yeah his goal is just to be rich at all costs, and in that regard he is right. nobody gets rich from a salary.

but at the same time the stress and heartache of being in debt and working through bankrupty, managing real estate and all the shit he did to actually succeed just doesn't sound fun. I don't love money enough to sacrifice all that.

I like 7 habits anon. it has a stupid title and is sold a self help book but its actually a management book. long term planning, values, and vision and underrated.

I also like common stocks and uncommon profits. I have had less success with "the intelligent investor" as it's just boring and talks about bonds as If they make money.
