What does your "make it" look like?

For me, nice house in suburbia, 5 kids, nice SUV, little airplane, no need to work, can spend my days traveling and fiddling with electronics. I'm thinking I will need 5M to be comfy with this.

let me just pick apart your dream for better or worse anon

>nice house in suburbia
solid. just be sure to research your area or else you'll be stuck with niggers blasting music and a weak ass HOA that cares about looking racist more than code enforcement
>5 kids
lmao why would you waste a good portfolio on this. you do realize they don't turn out the way you want, and that having more than one kid makes for a more likely chance the next one is treated unequally (or at least grows up perceiving this). Endless money siphon.
>nice SUV
nothing wrong here. I'd go for a Tesla personally.
>little airplane
actually based. look up neighborhoods like Hidden Lake in Florida that have hangars attached to the houses and that only let other planefags in
>no need to work
good
>travelling
don't bother. imagine how much regret you'd have in the 1/100000 chance of a plane crash, the thoughts of how much of your money could've been just as rewardingly spent at home. do the better thing and explore the fuck out of your county. I knew a richfag who would trespass openly. a small fine is nothing as he can just walk onto open beautiful lands and pay the $300 if caught. don't do this anon unless you're playing minecraft

actually a good makin it dream I was prepared to shit on you but only the kids part sucks about this. btw there's no traveling when you have kids, plus 5M isn't enough to bring 5 kids up to adulthood if you are choosing to stop working.

Debt free by 40, nice house for my family, enough to pay college and weddings for my kids in the future, and enough to never have to worry about how we'll go on vacation every year. Maybe retired, most likely not. But most of the hard decisions will be easy.

100% Bull shit. Kids are cheap. Especially you’re not paying for daycare. They don’t eat much. t. have six kids my wife homeschools.

Freedom from wage slavery is what matters the most, because you can never get your time back waging away. Once I hit about $1.5 mil I'll buy a small house with a yard and live comfortably off 4% annual withdrawals from my portfolio, aka FIRE.

Good luck brothers.

No debt, no 9 to 5. Modest home and land paid off. Immediate family never has to worry about financial issues. Enough whores to make up for all the pussy I missed out on in my late teens/early 20s. I'd go back to school and learn about something that interests me without worrying about marketability, probably literature or music theory.

Little wood shop
Nice sailboat maybe 32 foot
Place in the city, spot in the country
Old truck, nice car.
Wife with tiggies
Maybe a rental property or two

That's paradise. Super wealth is a dangerous and dark existence you guys. I've known those people and I would never want to become one.

Make it means never having to work for the rest of your life.
For others it means being able to do whatever you want such as travel nonstop for years or getting random women pregnant in poor areas and paying them large sums to keep the baby so you spread your seed and have a place to visit again.

For me making it would be not having to work but I think that is retarded to get rich quick and retire in your 20s when you could put all that money into residuals and by the time your kids are grown you will have secured a smart money future as long as you raised them right.
I want to have enough money where it continues to make money on a daily basis rather than in value.

I would have as many kids as I cared for if I made it and didn't have to work.
Imagine grooming them to be the best financial leaders of tomorrow doing long term projects like Elon Musk does but having 5+ people all involved rather than having to go to company to company with very limited time and freedom.

I just watched the Steve Jobs movie and it made me depressed. I guess we could in a sense still consider ourselves early investors like Mike Markkula. I guess that counts for something right?

On the topic of this thread, truly making it would be creating something that benefits the world. So that’s why the movie made me depressed.

I don't want to stop working. I hate doing nothing. To me it's mostly just number go up. I have goals to hit with number, and when hit goal number, next goal number come up. This way number and goal continue go up infinity. Once learn not about destination but about chase and journey, have truly made it.
