For me, it's China. The best place to buy stocks. I even ask for extra gains and the government is so friendly and more than willing to oblige.

One time I asked for 1% gains and they gave me three. I said, "Wow, three for free!" and the nice friendly Chinese spy laughed and said, "I'm going to call you 3-for-free!".

Now the agents greets me with "hey it's 3-for-free!" and ALWAYS give me three percent gains to beat daily inflation. It's such a fun and cool atmosphere at my local Maoist indoctrination camp, I go there at least 3 times a week for buying Chinese stocks and prosecuting Muslims, 1-2 times for investing on the weekend, and maybe once around dinner when I'm in a rush but want a stock that is undervalued, fast, and can help subvert the US economy.

I even do it with the SEC watching, it's wonderful! What a great place to invest.

i don't think that's true at all, look at the shaq SPAC recently. also the whole fucking appeal to me is that there's basically no downside as long as you get in them at or near $10, the main thing im trying to mitigate especially in this bubble market is downside risk. i dont need to make a million% either, but it seems like they can often go at least 50% pretty frequently, if not 100% (from 10 to at least around 15-20 range). i'd be perfectly happy with that coupled with no downside risk. i dont have a problem with waiting to get paid, i have a 6 fig account.

For the anon asking for PIPP shill in last thread:

Sure. High connected to Biden administration. Current sec state was a board member, current sec def was a "strategic advisor" prior to their appointments when they divested. Target is defense or aerospace sector. Former Merrill Lynch CxO (F I think) runs it.

https://theintercept.com/2021/01/10/spac-blank-check-companies-biden/

https://nypost.com/2020/12/11/the-defense-industry-swamp-is-eager-to-engulf-the-biden-administration/

Opportunity to go long corruption and go long Kamala starting a war with Max downside of ~18% right now, even if the market crashes. If the market does crash, PIPPs warchest is worth more when company shopping.

One possible target is shield.ai, but my intuition is that that's not it.

At GTE (Grand Tierra Energy) they are working every day to create value for their stakeholders. They mainly focus on the exploration and production of oil as well as gas. This allows them to connect to the country and create a long line of sustainability by protecting the environment and encouraging biodiversity. They have created preservations/conservations for the land and animals as well as create opportunities for the people of Colombia. One goal of theirs is "NaturAmazonas" which looks to reforest and preserve 1000s of hectares of land. They have allied with NTO Conservation International to promote biodiversity and further strengthening their ties with the lands and people of Colombia to ensure years of sustainability. They have helped cut down on criminal farming and have purchased land and planted over 18,000 trees. If that wasn't enough they are also devoted to helping ensure the water quality of this beautiful land with over 144 groundwater locations. Now enough about the land let's talk about the people of Colombia. They are hard-working and driven and GTE cares about the rights of the citizens there. They are dedicated to education and providing challenging yet rewarding work for thousands.

All in all, over 200,000 people of Colombia have benefited from GTE's social investments.

GTE is more than another company, it's a family.

Wrong. This is why they spent years in R&D for Foundry. Foundry is built to be, within the platform itself, adaptable and customizable given the business.

The selling point, and what made me double my position was the realization of what the IBM contract meant. Foundry is so customizable, that it can carry out "partnerships" with any company using data; meaning, Foundry itself becomes more widespread and sticky. Palantir only customizes and upgrades the cookie-cutter platform itself, and millions of use-cases become optimized and updated with new features while simultaneously being tethered to Palantir.

There can be.. for example.. an Amazon+Palantir partnership, with Foundry as the backbone and AWS as the dataset; here, again, with a customizable approach distinct to IBM's Cloud Pak usage... etc, etc. The Akin Gump’s RegSpot partnership announced 2/18, a version of Foundry modified to meet legal needs reinforces this notion. Their addressable market exponentiates, and no one else is doing software leveraging of this kind.

Palantir effectively invested in a product that ALL companies will 100% need to remain competitive (read: centralized data aggregation and AI powered decision calculus) in a year or less.

spooks probably flew a drone into it to cause engine failure. This shit can just happen though.
Hell a three engine plane over the pacific once crashed cause of a literal microscopic failure in one of the blades(took years to figure out). Led to changing standards for making the blades, cause apparently a microscopic mistake can fuck shit up(1/1,000,000,000 times)
The fucking blade cause an explosion blowing shrapnel into the fuselage hitting ALL THREE hydraulic lines(basically impossible to hit primary and BOTH backup lines).

Palantir's approach is using an ontology as a basis. They're essentially isolated modules summarizing segments of your company (sales, employees, customer data, and so on). Importantly, these modules are connected on Foundry. Meaning that, for example, if you want to know what product to sell given customer interest (any large amount of variables) you can directly "ask" Foundry. It's called AI driven decision making simply because the software reads and processes all of the available information to spit out the most efficient answer. This, of course, is just one use-case.

>>29255431
The customizations are all low-code or no-code within Foundry itself. It's akin to editing pages and tables on Notion, if you're aware of that software. The simplicity will also scale as time moves forward, removing "work" from Palantir's end.

All being said, please remember Foundry is but a fragment, the commercial one, of Palantir.

Ah, finally, someone technical in this thread.

I don't know if you've read the book "The mythical man month". It has an interesting concept of "accidental complexity" and "inherent complexity" of tasks. The TL;DR: is you can eliminate accidental complexity with better tools, but you will always have to put the work into inherent complexity.
Most of Data Science (and what PLTR does, namely data cleaning, correlation and pretty display) is inherent complexity, and a very involved task. I'm pretty sure noone without proper training can "just click together" those pretty reports, oos it will be a palantir employee doing it. Not to mention all the different database connectors they have to make and maintain.

I'm betting they won't be able to keep up with hiring and company growth. Mainly because the management looks like a bunch of tools. Also GlassDoor reviews suggest that work/life balance is already in the shitter there and it has only gotten worse since the IPO.

Also what you are describing is not really AI, it's just graph requests. It's been done to death in the last decade. Maybe they have some advanced algos, but that's it.

Biz how do I make money in stocks that are in higher cap ranges, swinging 1-5$ stocks means that you can get huge percent increases in shorter time, and because 1000$ buys you quote a few shares you can make a lot on one trade, if a stock is 50$ I can only buy 20 shares, even though an increase of 10% would still be an increase of 10% but my 0.5$ profit per share would only give me 10$, whereas a 10% increase on a 1$ stock would give me 1.10, but I have 1000 shares, giving me 100$, so to trade larger cap do you just need much more capital, what's the advantage, is the upwards price movement going to be much higher in large cap

This
PLTR gets hype for two reason:
1. Thiel is a co-founder
2. The spooky LotR reference name
There are hundreds... maybe thousands of other VC funded companies working on the same problems with less or zero media coverage. Even the giants (MSFT, ORCL, CRM) are doing it, plus academic institutions. Any one of them could have a breakthrough with an actual profitable business model at any moment. Investing in PLTR is just gambling that this one specific company has something that the other's don't... and that's gambling based on hype alone and zero evidence.

Understanding what PLTR is going to do is SIMPLE. The methods maybe complicated AI, data, memewords etc.
and reddit is getting on which is annoying.
Forget it all though.
This is what’s up.
PLTR is going to be used all around the fucking globe in most companies sooner or later. They are going to have access to basically all important data on earth. AND THEY ARE GOING TO TELL THEIR CUSTOMERS HOW TO USE THEIR OWN DATA.
IF YOU DON’T know what this means there is honestly no help for your tiny brain.

I'm not invested in PLTR. I'm just saying if I had to choose out of all those datamining shit companies I would go with Thiel. He is the most paranoid about China. i would have to look into it more to figure out how much they are shielding it from outside engineers and all that and I'm not interested in abstract AI stuff so I haven't looked into the other companies. I know MS for example, isn't really to be trusted anymore. Thiel has a good eye for what consumers want with tech.

I haven't really bothered to look into PLTR or any other except C3.AI when it IPO'ed but I got out of that. If I had to choose I'd just with the one backed by Thiel.

PLTR is making a business model of this type of this.
Anyone familiar with bill gates involvement in india regarding their farmers? They data mined info so hard and used it to fuck indian farmers SO hard they have been dropping like flies from suicide.
This is the power PLTR will have, they come in, data mine, decide what best for their self, their friends, and their customers(in that order) and the data will be used that way. Customers wont know how best to use their data, thats fucking why they will hire PLTR in the first place.
Unironically PLTR could be the biggest company the world ever sees

I'd agree and disagree, but it is a keen observation. My personal justification is that the companies themselves will onboard Palantir software specialists to act as the conduit. Now, if the companies themselves are willing to take this extra cost is another question. And if Airbus is actually increasing revenue by 30% using Foundry as they have stated, perhaps this isn't even an added difficulty but an opportunity for the job force (think Photoshop creating a new subset of designers).

My outlook, albeit ideal, is that Foundry reduces the complexity of data––such that, we have a new standard for data management. Much like the move from low-level programming languages to higher-level ones.

If it crabs all year, volatility will go down and you'll bleed to theta AND vega. Or... you could buy a $50 LEAP on a boomer dividend stock at $25 for like $0.50 with 25% IV. They will have trainers that will train a person in every company to be palantir certified, and that will be some thing to have on your resume, MAYBE. The end game for most of those programs is more classes and more certifications and levels of certifications etc. So a company will buy their package and then hire one of their trainers to come train up some people in their company once a year or something. I don't know if that will happen, but that is their solution to the shortage of data analysts.

Does it work? The question is will it be a good thing to have on your resume. If it is the analysts will want it to stay because it gives them an edge over new analysts, so they will vouch for it, and it won't go away. This is probably the goal, not sure if they can do it.

I am speculating here too btw.

> the companies themselves will onboard Palantir software specialists to act as the conduit
This is what Salesforce did, and if Palantir can do it, they will be golden. I don't think they will be able to.

To the other point: You cannot reduce the complexity of data. People were dreaming of "simply describing programs to computers" in the 70s, so that non-programmers could program. This never happened, because it turns out specifying what the problem is is like 80% of the work, and actually programming it is not that hard. High level languages helped, but the inherent complexity remained the same.
I think the same is true for Palantirs offerint (which is not actually that different from IBM's DB2 datacube stuff) , that properly asking the computer will be the hard part. It won't be as simple as "Siri, optimize seat allocations".

Perfect reminder that you pay more indirectly for "no fees" discount brokers than you do for using a proper broker with fees.

>They will have trainers that will train a person in every company to be palantir certified
How come we never see this aspect in any of the investor relations or marketing? Because they are not doing it. If they don't think this is an important aspect of the business, I cannot trust this management.

Not really. They have done some nice jobs (over the years), and STARTED on a shitton of meme contracts. They haven't delivered on those yet. And I think some of those clients will be very unhappy.

Shouldn't we look more at Delta than IV though? I.E the closer delta is to 1 (0.9 or above) you basically get a dollar per dollar increase in value for much lower leverage.

Random numbers:

Stock is $100

Buy a far ITM LEAPS call strike $60 for $40 each (4k for 100 shares instead of 10k) and if the dealta is say 0.94 you get almost 94c for every dollar the share price increases until expiration. This is with a bullish view and also with the plan to sell the option in profit way before it nears expiry and bleeds Extrinsic value.
