Thats not art you faggot

You will never be a real woman. You have no womb, you have no ovaries, you have no eggs. You are a homosexual man twisted by drugs and surgery into a crude mockery of nature’s perfection.
All the “validation” you get is two-faced and half-hearted. Behind your back people mock you. Your parents are disgusted and ashamed of you, your “friends” laugh at your ghoulish appearance behind closed doors.
Men are utterly repulsed by you. Thousands of years of evolution have allowed men to sniff out frauds with incredible efficiency. Even trannies who “pass” look uncanny and unnatural to a man. Your bone structure is a dead giveaway. And even if you manage to get a drunk guy home with you, he’ll turn tail and bolt the second he gets a whiff of your diseased, infected axe wound.
You will never be happy. You wrench out a fake smile every single morning and tell yourself it’s going to be ok, but deep inside you feel the depression creeping up like a weed, ready to crush you under the unbearable weight.
Eventually it’ll be too much to bear - you’ll buy a rope, tie a noose, put it around your neck, and plunge into the cold abyss. Your parents will find you, heartbroken but relieved that they no longer have to live with the unbearable shame and disappointment. They’ll bury you with a headstone marked with your birth name, and every passerby for the rest of eternity will know a man is buried there. Your body will decay and go back to the dust, and all that will remain of your legacy is a skeleton that is unmistakably male.
This is your fate. This is what you chose. There is no turning back.

Cool Frieza.

I can do line art too but if there's nothing in it for me it's really hard to find motivation to open my photoshop. Though, digital is the area I've been improving the most because you can cheat a lot more there.

Though I can say I've improved a lot over the years just by going against the grain.

Yeah but it’s just not my thing. Plus I don’t use social media anymore so I have zero ways of promoting myself. Maybe if whatever city you live in has a local market or something you can set up a stand and sell. I had mild success doing that but there’s only a small percentage of people that will actually shell out enough money to make it worth the time. For reference, I charge $10 usd an hour for my illustrative work. So I charged around $120 I think for that Frieza. Since they backed out after I finished the only way to make money would be to sell it to someone else who really wants it. Most people don’t want to buy an 11x17 Frieza for that much money, but charging any less than that and I might as well be working minimum wage.

Gallery artist who has dumped all their money into crypto to cure depression here.

These are not good in their current state.
Ditch the Acrylic or make it flatter, I do not like to see your brushstrokes for work like this. Consider watercolour, gouache or encaustic wax like Jasper Johns.
Use transparency, your pigments look cheap and bulked with chalk, I assume your using student grade paints. Invest in some single pigment artist grade paints. Your colours will look better. Also avoid those blacks. Use chromatic blacks or panes grey instead. Tint these towards your colours to make vibrancy.
Your canvas and ground also looks cheap. It has a gross texture that makes your paint look equally gross. If you must use shop bought stretchers prime them with 3 more layers of gesso and sand in-between. Maybe lay down an area of half tone on the last layer so you don't have to build your paint up so much and make ugly marks.
Also, masking is your friend, these could be so much more crisp if you used tape, stencils or liquid latex to mask the edges.
You also loose all sense of the fractal nature of your work due to the centre. Fix that. Use both hard and soft edges to show depth. You can also use glazes to this effect.
Your portrait format examples are better then square format.
Also invest In new brushes. I can see you have three brushes? One for the central details, one for the lines surrounding, then a larger one for fill and outer lines. This makes them look un-dynamic. Get a sign painters brush with a slanted tip. These are useful for the work you do.

Your digital work cannot be saved.

In terms of sales drop them on an online sales platform for £600-£800. Any will take you at 40% commission. Tell them to list a few works that you recently sold because you want to show 'the full collection'. Then the market will see your work selling, and that your prices at £600 and you have a chance of selling a few.
Pick a gallery that has connections with hotels and designers. If you haven't sold any work just give one to a friend and mark it sold.
If sales show down offer private discounts and mark paintings as sold at the full price. The real money is in large work. A gallery will take you if you have work over 1m as they will get more money from one sale then if you have lots of small work like this. Also feel free to offer sale to the gallery. They often buy because they don't pay their commission so get a 40% discount. There is no real money in IG. Get a couple of works sold at public auction for a good price then your set for life.

This is how galleries operate.

I really appreciate the critique here, this is the kind of advice I literally never hear because I don't know a single gallery artist in real life. You got me, all my shit is cheap. The paints, the canvas, the brushes. Got it all from Michael's lol. I'm kind of shocked you were able to tell I only use 3 brushes. I never posted any digital art so not sure if that statement applied to me. Either way thanks

I had an autistic friend that would sperg out about his shitty fucking 3D drawings of a blue blob superimposed onto a red blob that was supposed to represent the hormonal cycle of the universe or some cucky shit. We called him "craque de fesse" or "asscrack" for you non-French fags, because he had a huge ass-crack shaped chin. It was hairy too, so it was a hairy ass crack chin on an autistic manlet, just a complete freakshow.

I though you where same same poster as the digital art.
Once you understand paint its obvious even from a photo. You can usually count the brushes in most paintings. Its also a sign that your filling in colour and not using brushes or medium correctly. Spreading rather then applying paint. I can even tell you haven't put the pegs in to tighten the canvas as your paintings 'dip' slightly. naughty.
I suggest buying "The Painter's Handbook: Revised and Expanded" If you go to a real art store the staff are overly knowledgeable as most are painting students or part time artists.
Good luck.

gacha... I've seen some of that stuff online. I'll have to look into it maybe. Gacha users do, like, fan videos for obscure fandoms and it's usually pretty cringey but the meme compilation gacha vids are alright based on the pure merit of having good memes to be based off of.

I was depressed and drinking myself into a ditch so I built a good portfolio and got into highest rated art school. I posted quite a bit on /ic/ back in the day. Now I have learnt no one on /ic/ knows what there talking about. Read books and follow high quality art awards/ publications. Most people in art are rich and lazy, if you have any concept of hard work and self awareness you'll do okay. You'll not make money for a few years after graduation so keep spending low and save to fund that. Learn to work 5 hours a day every day. Make lots, then cull the bad work. They call it 'curation'.

Honestly I'm not a student, so I really missed all the things you'd learn at a school. This has just been a hobby of mine the last few years. I've had so many people tell me to start painting full time and they don't seem to understand that I'm an amateur. I can see it my own paintings, they're barely above arts and crafts. But I don't know how to improve because I don't even know what I don't know and I've gotten no real feedback from artists. So thanks for your posts anon. Maybe /ic/ failed you back in the day, but I'm glad I asked for advice on /biz/ today.

Don't worry you learn nothing about practical painting at art school. Your not missing much. The main thing you learn, and what I'd suggest, is build a network of artists you can openly talk you about your work and about theirs. This is the only way to improve. Find a small group of painters locally you can talk with, and show with. Life drawing classes work well for this reason. You'll get an art education from that and save a lot of money. It's also fun. Good luck Anon.
