29194763 No.29194763 [Reply] [Original]

Alright anons, it has generally been 6-7 months after the last "blue" mark on the heat map before the peak. This last blue mark hit December 18th of 2020. This means June-July will be prime for selling we have another 3-5 months for a market upswing. How will you exit? Do you have an exit strategy? will you hold my bags?

damn cuz just open up whatever crypto tracker you use and look at historical data aint gonna spoon feed u everything i told u when to sell. however though certain coins operate differently from what i've seen. coins with good fundamentals don't really operate at these same exact trends. things like GRT and LINK move in general terms the same as BTC but not exactly. the high utility coins will do whatever they want to do

This. What really causes the golden bull are halvings. More liquid and efficient market = faster adjustment to the new equilibrium after halving induced supply shock. Then it just rides the lower range of the long term log growth. This is probably bitcoin's terminal behavior as well

Correct. Those were the days of pure speculation and retail investors.

Now we've got big names, big money, and institutional investment. The highs won't be as high but the lows won't be as low.

My exit strategy is probably to bail 80% to USDC at 100-110k and wait until crash.

The cure for uncertainty is to make a plan and set goals now and follow through when things get crazy. Then, no matter what happens after, you can be satisfied that you executed your plan and can go forward with no regrets. Much better than being a bagholder for the new paradigm.

You will understand when the price begins to swing 10k+ over the course of hours or less.

Take your gains when the time comes, no matter how modest they may be. If you want to gamble, that's fine. Just do it with 10-20% of your portfolio. The man who makes 15 dollars out of 10 might wish he'd made 20, but he's much better off than the sap sitting at 0.

I would hold for 4 more years then reassess whether bitcoin is still a good bet.

Don't forget that we can all become LP.
If you don't wanna sell all and plan to hold long term,
At the end of this bull market, add your BTC/ETH/etc. to their stablecoin liquidity. (BTC/USDT, BTC/BUSD, etc.).
Then wait for 1-2yrs of bear market, doing this is basically 1x shorting for dummies. Instead of Impermanent Loss, you will be getting Impermanent Gain (you will lose value in USD but gain in BTC or ETH)
You need to redeem this liquidity around the bottom of bear market. Then hodl again until next cycle.

Saying goodbye will not be psychologically easy. I've been holding since getting fully vested in early 2019 (watched it bust in 2018 and knew I had to wait and buy cheap for the next bull run). Since then, my relationship with my phone has been symbiotic -- constantly checking prices, waking up to my portfolio view every morning. It was a constant for me, a source of comfort. I watched my folio go from 250k to 400k to 100k to 700k to 1.5mm. I've sold about half my original holding so far (enough to never have to work again), but disposing of the rest sounds like losing a part of myself. Therefore, from here on out, I AM NEVER FUCKING SELLING.
