This and Vesper will make us multi-millionaires with 60 million dollars private jets. We are the pioneer bankers/creditors of DEFI now competing with each other under the dr.opium/gyser model. Uniswap with its emotes in docs and tranny activists has no business being at a market cap of 6 billion let alone existing. Let's run the numbers
https://blog.bancor.network/bancor-v2-1-protocol-health-report-january-2020-83338c904de0
>Total fees earned by the protocol and its liquidity providers equaled roughly 700,000 BNT or $1.12M
>https://app.bancor.network/eth/data
Size of LINK pool: $215M
If LINK does a 5x, this will result in 25% IL, i.e. $50M. That's 44x as much as the TOTAL fees accrued over the whole network as of right now. No way in hell they can ever compensate for this kind of IL with those fees. Even just a sudden 2x will result in 5.7% IL i.e. $12M i.e. 10x as much as the total fees right now.
Of course it's not so bad as long as people don't unstake. But maybe some announcement at some point in the future will both make LINK moon like crazy, *and* make people want to get their linkies back. Especially once they realize it's a run for the exits over who gets real link, and who just gets BNC (BANCOR-COIN).

BNT will be minted to make up for IL and people will probably sell it asap to get back their LINK. This causes BNT to drop, both because of the supply increase and the sell pressure. Lower BNT price results in more impermanent loss, which causes even more BNT to be minted, etcetera. So in the long run, BNT will be basically worthless I think.

I'm not too inclined with Etherscan, but I'd assume you can find the particular address for the LINK/BNT pool, and maybe find pending BNT deposits that way? So while literally everything on the platform did a 5x since 2021 started, and overall gained WAYYYY more than Bancor did marketcap wise and......fees are outpacing IL protection by 5x. I would bet that the tokens on bancor have 100x'd in overall marketcap gains relative to BNT marketcap gains.

And the fees paid for it 5x over! Without any help from Vortex, and with no BNT burned yet (which again is being rolled out in Vortex part 2)

BNT is just getting started

Metamask is the simplest. Various alternative wallets are supported, as is directly connecting to a trezor/ledger without metamask inbetween, but you will miss the GUI.

Staking has very minimal risk so long as you keep your keys secure. Only you can unlock and control your stakes, unlike on a centralized exchange.

This is why you only use platforms that have been audited. Most of the 'hacks' have been price exploits due to centralized, single point oracles. Which is why platforms that use Chainlink oracles (biz is going to hate to hear this) are much more secure.

And you can buy insurance now on Yearn dot finance/cover. Doesn't seem worth it though with the cost vs length of coverage.

I have around 2000 coins that I'm looking to stake. The current gas fees are approx. 150-200. Is staking worth it for me at this juncture? Put another way, would I recouple gas fees through the rewards offered by the Bancor network?

Or perhaps staking only makes sense after you have a certain number of tokens-e.g. 10k?
