DOT is dramatically worse tech, so...no?

>60 second finality
LMAO

>> No.29114993

Yes, read up up on consensus protocols: classic, nakamato and Avalanche. Avalanche is the have your cake and eat it too solution to decentralisation. Polkadot is not unique. Avalanche is one of the most important breakthroughs in blockchain technology since Bitcoin.

>> No.29115102

>>29114443
1. Decentralisation.
Polkadot has a small number of validators validating each parachain, as little as 14.

>Avalanche can scale to tens of thousands, even millions of validators all participating in consensus with its revolutionary Avalanche Consensus

2.Finality
Polkadot takes 60 seconds before transactions are considered final within its ecosystem and 60 minutes with other ecosystems

>Avalanche achieves finality within 2 seconds, with the vast majority happening within 1 second.

3. Scalability
Polkadot is limited to around 100 parachains due to the number of validators that can participate in the relay chain

>Avalanche has no restrictions on the number of subnets/blockchains that can be created on the platform, nor is it limited by the validator count

4. Tokenomics
$DOT has no fixed cap supply and high yearly inflation of 10%. As an example to show how fast that increaes, by 2050 the supply of DOT will have gone from 1 billion to 16 billion. If the price of DOT remained the same it would have a market cap of $508 billion

>$AVAX is a fixed capped supply like Bitcoin with a max supply of 720 million AVAX. Transaction fees on the primary network, asset creation, blockchain and subnet creation fees are all burnt creating deflationary pressures.

>> No.29115364

If AVAX continue to exist in the next 2 years i've no doubt in my mind it'll by a top 2 coin or top 3 at the very least
