Dude it's fucking easy thanks to BTC season. My coin to swing is GRT
>put 1-5k on GRT when it dips under 2.05
>go to sleep
>Wake up
>it stabilizes back to 2.30
>sell
>repeat when dip happens

Don't. Take it as an opportunity to swing and make some extra dosh my dude, and then put it on coins you like to hold

Tough to do when crypto.com takes 3% from every transaction. I lose 3% when I sell it for TGBP and lose another 3% when I transfer TGBP into another coin.

First, never swing on % fee apps. Second, dont do it on fee apps. Third, it doesn't matter when your gains are huge

Try using the MACD indicator if you're swing/day trading. Just buy when the green line goes above the red line and sell when it goes back under. Use a 5 minute chart too. There's a little bit more to it than that but that's the gist of it.

what apps don't have fees based on %?
binance is pretty low (0.1%), do you just mean low % fees?

cool ill look into it. any tips on futures trading?

>> No.29095314

>>29095130
I haven't done any futures trading. I just use FTX mainly to keep an eye on some charts, like this one here is good, a defi index of 25 coins and when that goes down almost everything goes down, ERC20 tokens anyway
https://ftx.com/trade/DEFI-PERP
Also their TradingView charts seem to have a few more indicators than other sites, like the Trend Strength Indicator

I just sold half my ETH and all my YFI. I still made hundreds profit on both (not bad for a newfag) in 1 month, but the fees still hurt.
For next time, what's the most cost effective way to trade crypto? I'm planning on downloading a wallet for ADA to transfer my ADA over to. But I'm guessing I can't trade other crypto through an ADA wallet (Daedalus or Yororoi)? Do I need a wallet for each crypt I have?

Interesting, looks like DeFi peaked on Feb 13. I thought nearly everything was hitting ATH but I guess not.

binance is good because you can set up buys at the price you want. if you are american use vpn

yeah low fees. I call it none cause its so small its basically non-existent

Can't say about wallets but as for trading, Binance is king. If you're in US, Coinbase Pro is the lesser evil

>> No.29095480

Not really, losses count against gains so in the end you still pay a % of whatever profit you end up with.

there's a guide here on MACD
https://academy.binance.com/en/articles/macd-indicator-explained
I still get the MACD and Signal lines mixed up sometimes so I guess just make sure you're looking at the right one, sometimes they're different colors.

This blog post was pretty good too, especially the "momentum reversal" part
https://www.tradingwithrayner.com/macd-indicator/
I think it's a bit of an art to use it correctly though, it seems to work about 80% of the time or so and takes a bunch of trial & error to get the hang of it

>> No.29095696

Yeah a lot of the coins seem to follow Ethereum too. Some, like BNT, will still go up when ethereum is going down, that seemed to happen yesterday, but today it went down a bit when ethereum when down

Will I have to pay the dumbass 3% crypto.com transaction fee to move exchanges over to binance? Or is the fee waived when you're moving the same crypto into merely a different wallet/exchange?

you'll pay a network fee for transferring your coins most likely, because it has to go from one exchange to the other over the public network. For ethereum it's about $5 or something, for bitcoin it's a bit higher, this site says about $13
https://btc.network/estimate
The price changes based on network congestion

>> No.29096302

I'm interested in start swinging, probably going to do it on ADA. Do you short on the way down?

>> No.29096370

>>29095808
It depends on where you're staking, the rates vary a ton. I just got in early staking VSP/ETH LP tokens on GYSR. APY was like 5000% the first day so I didn't need to put a ton in. I only put in like 10k total.

That's not bad. I think I just lost about $60 selling 1 ETH into TrueGBP which sucked (and similar amount selling £1000 worth of YFI). I don't mind fees under £10 ($15).
