the fear of already missing out, ill call it FOAMO.
FOAMO is pretty crazy, i suffer from it a lot. e.g BNB at $15 was too much for me because i sold it at $1, LINK at $10 was too much for me because i bought it at 20c, etc.
if you take a step back, and imagine you have never seen a coin before and just analyse the fundamentals, forgetting how many x's it has grown since you first saw it, you will see BNT has more room to grow, which is why im not selling.
>TVL is going up all the time
>market cap is almost 600m, for a product already better than uniswap (6B) there is still a 10x in store for bancor considering the current state of the market, without even thinking about the growth as the bull run develops
>more shit coming, arbitrum layer 2 solution, polkadot bridge, limit orders, non BNT liquidity mining for projects, streamlined whitelisting, blablalblalblabal
>AAVEesque borrowing & leverage
>a bunch of other shit.

so yeah basically i think $50 realistic and perhaps even conservative, if you are reading this you are early, all the youtube faggots and everyone else have barely caught on yet, just like uniswap had a steady rise from $4 to $20, then just sitting there before probably going on another run, i see the same happening to bancor but better, since BNT has way more fucking use than UNI. im comfy.

I'm the one who mentioned YAX. Yes, absolutely, v2 prob in the next week or so, v2/3 around March/ April. You need to read up on these things, since you clearly haven't. Don't just see a ticker and go for it, research it and understand the value + if the alpha leaks behind it are legit or not.

>>29033799

A vast majority of people have zero idea about the technical capability of Bancor, as well as the strategists/ economists behind it. Its not some bootstrapped organic community; they have resources and are using them. Uniswap stole the show by allowing for shitcoin listing, but failed to innovated (naturally) for they didn't create the AMM in the first place. That was Eyal.

its totally about the gas.
My rule of thumb, right or wrong, is that I will stake again when the gas is 10% or less the stake(if that makes sense)...
Gas is cheaper at night, considerably.

Here's a big IQ tip if you want to leverage your stack: buy BNT and swap it to vBNT so long as the price of vBNT is under .8
The protocol peg will ramp up buying and burning of vBNT the lower it goes. When the peg is at 0.6, the protocol spends 8% of all swap fees buying and burning vBNT.
If the price of vBNT drops to 0.1, that goes up to a STAGGERING 53.4%

If you have free liquidity and you want to be in Bancor for the longer term, buying vBNT below .9 is like buying Tether or USDC at below a dollar. GUARANTEED profit unless the entire system collapse and the dollar peg is lost.

My guess is that it's because the token stake rewards are partially paid out in BNT.
On the BNT side it looks like a dilution in liquidity mining rewards because the pool got a lot bigger.
The token side also took that dilution, but it's showing as a gain because BNT mooned so hard compared to the token it is giving APY to.
Basically the harder BNT moons, the bigger the APY will look like for tokens who get paid out in BNT.
>>29041755
Absolutely. There's very few projects in crypto that actually have a unique usecase beyond vapor. Bitcoin is one, obviously. Ethereum, while not delivering network upgrades, has a status quo as the standard. XMR is the privacy standard. LINK is the oracle standard and god protocol. Bancor is the AMM/Lending standard. I think AAVE will also keep a spot since they offer more flexible leverages and flash loans etc. But what right does Bitcoin cash have to exist? Why is Dogecoin in the top 20? What does Uniswap do outside of being scam-central that makes it worth 6B+?
We'll be here long after they are gone or scam wick down. Bancies are forever.

Risk and leverage is good anon. It can make you a lot of fucking money. But it can also get you rekt. Your plan is possible, and it might even be the best plan long-term, I do not have a crystal ball beyond being able to tell you that Bancor is a good play, but liquidity rewards, APR and price can all change massively as the market matures and our cap increases.
Do your research and make the play if you are certain of it. My own risk tolerance is not that high and my stack is comfy enough to be satisfied with unleveraged staking and some arbitrage when I have liquid funds, I cannot speak for you and I am no financial advisor.

Never sell all your linkies, nolinkers get the rope and the cope.
That said, the upside on Bancor is equal to LINK on the ultra-long term, and probably higher short-term because Sergey betray.
If I were in your position I would swap 9.4k linkies to bancies and stake those in the LINK/BNT pool, then move most of my 10k linkies into the free space created on the TKN side of that pool (due to your BNT stake obviously)
If you are risk averse, you can buy nexus mutual insurance for your stinkers, but you're in good company of many whales and bigbrains so it's very safe.

Never sell more than what you are comfortable with bro. It's all about being comfy and holding the keys to the future with LINK and BNT. The God protocol and the Market to end all markets (soon to be powered by the god protocol, since devs are in talks to make oracles work for us after the first LINK implementation was too slow for the market) - you love to see the combo.

For all you little leverage lovers, look into this thread https://twitter.com/Simp2win/status/1362204772871393280
I'm not normally a twitter tranny, but these are whales with close to 1M USD value locked into bancor. Don't rek yourself, and ride their waves for easy gains if you're a small fish. Let them do the lifting and snack on the scraps.

If you're already comfymaxxed then it's always worth considering safety. I think the odds of Bancor going tits up are incredibly small but nobody can say the risk is zero. There is always risk, and that risk comes with rewards for those willing to take it. Some of us are about to make it, some of us have made it, and some of use need a pajeet-moonshot to get into make-it-ranges. Different strategies for different /biz/raelis.

Very based anon. Similar folio distribution for me.
I have a small hedge in Aavegotchi to get exposure to the NFT craze, I have a mini-bag of XRP because I don't bet against schizos even if their current status looks like a weird form of crypto-cuckoldry and findom, and for my microcap moonshot gambling needs I've chosen Idena, a first mover in a brand new niche that few grasp the value of, and that needs much work and development to take off, but has the potential to fundamentally change society, much like Oracles and AMM's in 2017.

Good point. The thing a lot of anons are not realizing is what is going to happen when Arbitrum finally launches. Bancor swap fees are going to sky rocket. Bancor will become the cheapest way to trade with the lowest slippage overnight.

We are so fucking early that GRT hasn’t even been white listed yet. What do you think will happen when all of those holders figure out they can earn 100% interest on their GRT? Imagine when BNB gets white listed and those users find Bancor. Now think about 1inch holders.

Do the math. Biz is early for the first time since link. If you haven’t spent 3 hours thinking about all of this then you should. This will be life changing money.

>> No.29051706

>>29051081
I would also like to add that it would be very easy for Bancor to implement an Aave-like platform with flash swaps and over collateralized loans.

Doesn’t mean they will do it but they very easily could once Bancor sucks up the liquidity from all the major dexs.

Look at Uniswap’s market cap. Look at Aave’s market cap. What happens if Bancor got all that business?

While I don't disagree that being on more chains can lock in more value, we're on Binance itself. BSC users can lock their gains into Bancor without friction already. I do think it'd be nice to have GRT, BNB and other high-flyers of this year whitelisted and filled up with liquidity, but the votes are chugging along nicely so I'm sure their time will come in the near future.

I'm a free man, insofar as that is possible with many places locked down. I thank crypto and /biz/ for keeping me out of the wagecage.

I saw that thread when it was up kek. XRP has many schizo delusions and some insufferable bagholders, but their connections with legacy finance are legit from the digging I've done. It's one of those things you hold a bit of just to keep yourself from roping if some head honcho decides it's now the boomer-financial standard.

Idena is one of those microcaps that I could write an essay on, it just has those early Ethereum/LINK vibes when you lurk their channels, but sadly the telegram is infested by pajeets since it's so fucking cheap and easy to mine. Shirt one is scarcest, but the price cap of it is lowest.
Shirt two is in the middle
Shirt three, while having the most tokens, has the highest possible price once all tokens sell.

Will you buy the rarest shirt, or will you buy the shirt with the highest potential cap even if it is less "rare" in pure numbers.
Hint: look at your favourite coins and tokens, are the lowest supply ones worth the most?
Sometimes. Not always. If you expect ALL shirts to sell out, the third shirt is the best buy. If you want to get in and out quickly, the first shirt is the best buy but your maximum profit cap is lower. Middle shirt is a bit of both and has the coolest design.

hmmm not sure about that, here's from the docs
>Fred swaps his vBNT at a rate of 0.5 BNT/vBNT.
>In the following months, the number of LPs wanting to leverage their staked BNT drops dramatically, and the token-burning feature of the Vortex slowly raises the price of vBNT in the pool back to 0.9.
>When Fred returns, he is only able to buy half the amount of vBNT he originally sold before its price returns all the way to 1:1.
>To obtain the remaining vBNT, Fred must purchase BNT from the market, and stake it in a pool to receive the remainder of the vBNT he started with, which is needed to unlock his full BNT stake.
Sounds like if you trade vBNT for BNT at the current rate .75 and then it goes up to .9 or 1, you are then in the hole and need to buy more BNT to make up for the difference?

Yeah. And over time it will go up to .9 or 1 due to protocol pressure. So if you BUY vBNT while it is below say .9, you can just sell it on slow days for "free" BNT, because the PROTOCOL itself is pumping your vBNT bags.

listen up, sorry you missed out, but this isn't your typical BSC scam coin. The price was undervalued on Mcap:TVL ratio. TVL is skyrocketing. There was a new protocol upgrade yesterday called Vortex that is revolutionary in the AMM industry and will cause the TVL to continue to grow at a rapid pace. This doesn't pull back like ranjeesh's BSC pump and dump, it's based on actual metrics, not pure speculation and manipulation.
