front running bots

>>29057523
and how are you able to detect potential front runs on uniswap? are these people crawling through etherscan to see upcoming trades that haven't been confirmed by the blockchain and then spend high gas fees to front run them?

this

yes, bots do this
they pay a massive amount of gas and then basically 'see into the future' of the block transactions, so they buy to artificially raise the price, and then sell almost at the same time, catching a large buy in the middle and stealing eth from them

>> No.29058039

how the FUCK do you run one of these

>> No.29058256

>>29057982
fuck how did I not think of this, that's actually really smart (and kind of an oversight of DEXes now that I look at it?). seems easy enough to write a bot to do this, might as well just try.

so does that basically mean that if I'd buy a large amount of anything on a DEX, I should spend very high GAS to be safe from front runners, artificially raising the price, right?

i thought these were arbitrage based on token-to-token price dislocation

you don't. you write it yourself.
never execute code you don't understand yourself.

start with some python tutorials and work your way up.
