Platinum has traded on average 1.25 times the price of gold from 1980 till 2015.
Returning to this alone would mean $2200 platinum. But i think we'll go back to a peak ratio of 2.2xGold which means 4k platinum, but probably by then gold will have moved to 3 or 4k, which could see platinum as high as 9k.

Remember that platinum is the preferred metal over palladium for car catalysts. They used palladium en masse because it was a lot cheaper ten years ago but car companies need to design new catalysts and this cycle takes a few years. I'm in the middle camp, I think BHS will need to up production significantly to produce over 1Moz per year. It won't happen this year and might not happen next year either, but the fact they have a historical mine and are continuing to drill to find more resources means it can be done.
