What you say makes sense from an investor perspective, but i think scaling the network will take priority over giving you an extra 60 avax per year for your maxed out 2000 weight node. Once subnets are flourishing and Initial Subnet Offerings become a thing people mark their calendars for (i would estimate in 2 to 3 years), i think we will be making better returns from validating subnets than just the staking rewards. If im not mistaken, validators that validate these subnet transactions get paid a fee in the native subnet coin. Hell, with 2000 you could even spare enough to make your own subnet, which im thinking about doing if/when i find a good use case.
