I accepted a job offer, but a preferred company has come back at me with a better offer. How do I get out of this bros?

The company you accepted just tell em fuck em? Usually in the probationary period you can tell em get fucked, depends on the country I suppose.

tell em your parent or family member is suddenly very ill and no one else can take care of them and it will require you to move.
Thank them for everything and say you will come back in the future.
Note this doesn't work in a job where you can do it remotely. I've given the slip to multiple jobs this way and my mom is still alive and healthy lmao.

Ignore everyone in this thread. If you are going to take the initial offer under no circumstances, just be honest. "I received a better offer." Simple as that. They might even try to counter (if this is a tech/corporate position and you are worth your salt). No need to do this any other way. They deal with people bailing all the time, leaving due to another offer is nothing new to them for competitive candidates, which you seem to be given the two offers.

this is the correct answer
you do nobody favors by lying or denying yourself the better offer

Company loyalty is very rarely rewarded. Do what's best for you, anon. Take what will either make you the most money, or the most content or a balance of both.

>> No.29008542

You don't owe the new company any favors. Maybe they'll even give you a bigger deal.

Go back to the job that you accepted and tell them you got a better offer. Ask for a 50% increase in salary or you walk. Win win scenario

This, everyone else in this thread seems retarded
Just contact them and say you got a better offer, you appreciate the opportunity, etc

This. Anon, you look out for yourself. Fuck companies. The one with the better offer you take. The other one you just leave, bai bai. Its at will.

So instead of working at McDonalds you'll be working at Wendy's? Anon I don't think it makes a difference.

I've had several hires do this - nothing our company could do about it. Just take the other higher paying offer and start working there.

>>29006809
You call the job you accepted and you quit, if the other workplaces offer is solid then it works, no fucks given.

If you get cucked from both jobs it's your own damn fault.

unless you signed a contract you have every right to do what you want to do. Be your own god of your reality
I, would tell the crap job "hey, I was just offered x salary and beifits from acme corp, Since you did offer me the position first I was wondering if you had a counter offer".
Then got to acme corp and say "I really want to work under your banner but crap corp is offering me a better lifestyle. Can we renegotiate out terms of employment?"
Play the game your way

This. Don't be a faggot. Tell them you received a better offer. They may try to counter, they may not. Doesn't matter. You owe them nothing. They did interview other candidates to try to find someone better than you, right? It's the same thing except they didn't make the cut like you did.
