But now we have an overvalued stock market by any metric except those accounting for low yields. If low yields go up then even those will go red, as bonds become an actually attractive storage for your bank's money.

Not only are treasury yields low, they are much lower than the current stock market yields (instead of being 3 times higher they are about half as high). The current earnings yield is like 3.5% now. Basically once treasuries go up there will be a selloff, you're right, but that is being theorized to be at 2.5% or 3% (from what I've seen people say).

Everything is based off of the treasury yield because they are the baseline for calculating risk adjusted returns, as they are considered basically the lowest risk. If they rise, by proxy the risk adjusted returns for the stock market become retroactively lower.
