no, coffee is shit for you.
Destroys your digestive system (flushing nutrients and minerals).
Fucks up your sleep (caffeine has a halflife of 6 hours, which means caffeine is most likely still in your bloodstream when you go to sleep)
Coffee is literally a poison that makes your body produce stresshormones (cortilsol and adrenaline).
Stopped drinking coffee years ago, one of my best decision ever.

>> No.28960247

>>28959557
I dont think we totally know. There are some studies saying coffee may have some oils and shit which are good for you.

You likely also burn more calories(or at least break even) from drinking coffee than it has on its own. This is no longer true with milk or syrupy sugar, though milk isn't really bad for you(that's a different debate).

The effect is lovely though. It's a fantastic, relatively mild daily drug. I've owned an espresso machine for years.

Too much fucks with your sleep tho, which will fuck you up long term. Most people avoid drinking it after noon or so and are ok

No, its literally a toxic seed.

>> No.28960371

>>28960247
The burning of more calories is a meme and never proven. The cortisol and andrenaline released would much rather have the opposite effect, since those hormones makes the body hold on to the fat

Drank coffee for 14 years straight starting at age 13, quit 6 months ago and I literally feel the best I have in my whole life. Anxiety and stress are cut in half, I actually enjoy hanging out with other people, more easily motivated. Worth a shot imo

This sums it up pretty well. Probably won't be too bad to have it as a luxury beverage sometimes in the mornings. But can't stress the extremely long half life enough

Coffee drinkers have a lower incidence of thyroid disease, including cancer, thannon-drinkers.
Caffeine protects the liver from alcohol and acetaminophen (Tylenol) and other toxins, and coffee drinkers are less likely than people who don’t use coffee to have elevated serum enzymes and other indications of liver damage.
Caffeine protects against cancer caused by radiation, chemical carcinogens, viruses, and estrogens.
Caffeine synergizes with progesterone, and increases its concentration in blood and tissues.
Cystic breast disease is not caused by caffeine, in fact caffeine’s effects are likely to be protective; a variety of studies show that coffee, tea, and caffeine are protective against breast cancer.
Coffee provides very significant quantities of magnesium, as well as other nutrients including vitamin B1.
Caffeine “improves efficiency of fuel use” and performance: JC Wagner 1989.
Coffee drinkers have a low incidence of suicide.
Caffeine supports serotonin uptake in nerves, and inhibits blood platelet aggregation.
Coffee drinkers have been found to have lower cadmium in tissues; coffee making removes heavy metals from water.
Coffee inhibits iron absorption if taken with meals, helping to prevent iron overload.
Caffeine, like niacin, inhibits apoptosis, protecting against stress-induced cell death, without interfering with normal cell turnover.
Caffeine can prevent nerve cell death.
Coffee (or caffeine) prevents Parkinson’s Disease (Ross, et al., 2000).
The prenatal growth retardation that can be caused by feeding large amounts of caffeine is prevented by supplementing the diet with sugar.
Caffeine stops production of free radicals by inhibiting xanthine oxidase, an important factor in tissue stress.
Caffeine lowers serum potassium following exercise; stabilizes platelets, reducing thromboxane production.

I limit myself to a cup or 2 a day and problem solved. And I only use a keurig since it’s the same exact amount every time. If you use a coffee pot you can easily put way too much and it’ll just be way too much caffeine in a single cup.

If you consume coffee with no cream and sugar then you get jittery stress reaction because you need more calories as it increases your metabolism. Coffee is best consumed with a meal or AS a meal(heavy cream and sugar or even meme shitblike bullet proof coffee) black coffee is a meme and makes your teeth look like shit and breath smell terrible

Obviously anything with a dopamine releasing effect that we get addicted to isn't good for us. But I suspect the damaging effects of coffee on us physically are relatively minor compared to the shit most of us put in our bodies regularly (myself included). This is total speculation, but I wouldn't be surprised if the mental effects of needing to have a coffee every morning in order to feel good is more damaging to us than it is to our bodies physically
