I want to thank everyone in these threads for giving me the proper trouncing when I started to bitch, and were there to advise when I asked for it. This is the first crypto I've ever bought, and seeing a $+100 profit (only invested 1,186 in during the last peak) has my spirits at an all-time high. I've survived the troubles of Sunday dips and early-week crabs, and from here I think I'll be ready to invest in other coins, diversify my portfolio, and learn the value of HOLD once the Bear Market hits.

Dollar cost average into your coins though. Start "high" and then reduce the amount you invest. Believe in the stuff you invest in, and dont listen to strangers on the internet shilling random coins. Also, have an exit plan for your crypto, even if you say you hodl until the end of time. Your gains could then be put into e.g. precious metals such as silver (buy it fgt) for diversification.

I actually DCA'd into LTC, I staggered my $1200 investment by increments of $200 at the start (which was $227, rookie mistake) and gradually dumped $400 when it went to $206 and $192 respectively. I've been doing extensive research on each of the "mainstay" coins (BTC, LTC, BNB, ATOM, GRT, LINK, DOT, ADA, KSM, BAND) and figuring which ones I want to invest in for the next bear cycle, and by what percentage - because I'm only going to invest in 3-4 at the start. I've seen what happens with overdiversification.

That's something far in the future for me right now - I'm a poorfag, so I'll be clinking my coins for the next 3-4 years before I build up a six-figure stack or, heaven willing, a Make It. Planning to get into genuine silver/gold though; there's something innately pleasant about having a hefty hunk of physical wealth. I see why dragons are into their hoards.
