Usually groups will just advertise their coin, and feel more trusting to the first initial followers. If you follow blatant Asian PnD's, you can buy in initially and sell after the coin hits exchange. Your sell price will be a percentage markup of your initial investment (i.e invest 10%, will sell after you've broken even + 10%).
