Kind of an oldfag here that disappeared for a bit. Put up $5k pre 2017 bullrun, got involved in altcoins and lost a bunch of money over the next year. When a quarter million turned into $15k because of my hurrrdurrr trading, took my shit offline and let it sit on paper for a while. I just got everything back on binance, and i'm tryna make it WITHOUT FUCKING LOSING IT ALL AGAIN. I know literally nothing about what's happened in crypto over the last couple years. Shit was depressing, I didn't wanna follow it. Where do I reallocate to grow safely biz? Bitcoin? Ethereum? Just pay my taxes and gtfo and invest in boomer stocks? gold? I'm traumatized from my last go on this ride.

DO NOT GET CAUGHT UP IN THE MOONSHOTS. Do your DD, a lot of these projects have really good white papers, technicals, and great teams. Now this is crypto, so a lot of the sound projects won't make it early on just because of the herd mentality. But what happened to me and a lot of others in the earlier altcoin run was this: we made our money mostly in top 20 cap coins. Then the fireworks started blasting and binance became the casino. Everything and anything could have did a 100x in a day, and as a result a lot of us were buying straight bullshit at ATH prices.

Are ICOs still a thing? Because man was that good money until it became dominated by scamcoins.
