Like, I get that this is about control for them but fuck me if I could have come up with a better way to replace the fiat system

I'm convinced however that BTC was not in the plan. They wanted smart contracts but didn't come up with the decentralized PoW thing, in fact I think they are seething about that because it significantly sets them back in terms of control and people now expect a certain standard of decentralisation
