The human digestive system is not 100% efficient. No system is. I have had a method of filtering and re-prepping my stools for consumption. I estimate that I can survive, meal wise, off USD$0.75 per day purely by sifting, straining, rinsing, and dry baking the contents of each and every stool, then mixing with filler material such as seasoned corn meal.
Pic is my entire stool, combined with an extraction tincture, prior to first mesh pass. You will want to keep a low fat diet, as fatty stool is impossible to clean, fat becomes rancid, and your first meal of dry roasted fatty stool will probably make you want to kill yourself. I have been immunised against all types of hepatitis so I do not advise you to try this until I provide more information.

I've posted about my food bank experience before. We got like $400 worth of stuff, including about 40lbs of meat, nearly all of it being high quality stuff.

You need to bear in mind the fact that, as was mentioned by another anon, you can survive on only body fat for some time. It's best to work on 1 or 2 month cycles wherein you eat normally for a week then fast and gather as much reconstitutable matter as possible for a few days before carrying out the process. It smells horrible, trust me you will only want to do it once or twice a month. When it is done, I usually cut it up into granola sized bars and eat one a day. The amount that I have saved by doing this is truly incredible.

I'm a millennial, so part of my culture is employment in the gig economy. One of my gigs is waiting in food bank lines. It takes me about 20 minutes to drive to the food bank, 20 minutes to wait in the line, and another 20 minutes to drive back home. For this job I am paid in food, about 70$ worth of it. Fortunately for me, this income is tax free. I do this job about once a week. I'm making less than a doctor or lawyer, but it's honest work and I set my own hours.
