If you buy 50% SOXL and 50% SPXX does that become 2x leverage, or does it have to be continuously rebalanced to maintain that 2x leverage? The formula is 0.5 * 1 + 0.5 * 3 = 2
So in this instance you are 2x leveraged. The SOXL will grow much faster than the SOXX so you will have to rebalance periodically.
