I look at a laundry list of things to determine a company / project is good or viable for today. Everything from just looking over their basic financials to make sure their not a bankrupt shell, drill results and previous work on the property in question are just some of the points i look at. I also look for things like community push back or activist discussion. Thats how I knew NAK was in hot water last year.

Share dilution is a significant factor to me while choosing Jr miners with respect to holding for 5+ years. I plan to sit on these miners for the majority of the bullrun, with respect to their deposits/staging ofc.

I ve heard of them and I know the Blende Property well, I ve read about it numerous times, its up past Elsa Yukon Territory. Absolutely massive Pb, Zn, Ag VMS hosted by carbonate rock. Ancient ore body too, some of the oldest mineralization of its kind in north america. Its got good to great ore grades, more zinc than lead for the most part i think. Issues though with it are infrastructure was not in place for much of the last decade, and low metals prices. Blind Creek Resources held the ground for a while and did a ton of work on it but gave up due to price of zinc and silver being to low. It could be a fantastic set of open pits if the prices were right.

Went to the LCS and paid $312 for pic related. Did I get ripped off? It's $9.85 face value, all junk silver. I have an itemized receipt and it seems I was charged different amounts for each (unique) coin rather than a flat rate for junk silver based on total face value.

the power required to determine the conductivity shouldn't actually be that high, but it's more than I thought after plugging in the numbers. Using the resistance of copper (trace resistance calculator, lazy route...) and plugging in the numbers for a random 5oz bar (1.437 x 2.624 x .246 inches), it's gonna be a little under 5 uOhms (yes, micro-Ohms) on the long side. With a 2A current, this will generate a 10 uV signal, which with the help of a 100x gain current sense amp and a 14+ bit ADC should be detectable, if only barely.

The real trouble is going to be handling the resistance of everything that's not the silver bar. You'll need to do a 4-wire measurement (force with 2 / measure with 2) to cancel out the resistance of the probes, but beyond that you also have to make sure whatever current you use doesn't break your test equipment. I thought a battery-operated tester would be possible but now I'm not sure as if you want a more clear-cut reading something more than 2A might be in order. However, seeing as even cheapo PC mobos can source >100A @ 1V, the device should at least be portable.

Honestly, the ultrasound tester you showed seems like a better approach for 99% of fakes, but conductivity could be an extra line of defense to detect a hypothetical lead-zinc alloy blended to have density of silver (if that's how that works, sound propagation is not really up my alley...).

I paid 21.5x at my LCS and felt like hell about it a few days ago.

To determine price per ounce in 90% American junk silver:

Take the Face Value multiplier, and DIVIDE it by 0.715.

$21.5 / 0.715 = $30.06/ozt

We can verify this by calculating how much $1.40 FV would be at the multiplier (1.4 * 0.715 = 1.001, which is pretty much exactly 1ozt):
21.5 * 1.4 = 30.10

So, solving for your derived FV multiplier:
31.675 / .715 = $44.30/ozt

Result: double-Jewed. Learn from this, Anon.
