well im hesitant to average up over $1 now but i'm definitely still holding. Just don't get too excited above jumping in since the net income includes the huge tax benefit they got last year. They're still profitable even without the tax benefit, but they're more trading at ~45x of earnings rather than ~28x if you don't consider that. The school bus market is basically white space with no competitors so that's good at least. Estimated to be around ~1 billion (approx 14 million stop arm violations yearly), early on Doug mentioned they're using a revenue sharing model where they supply the equipment for free but they take 50% of the ticket revenue (25% goes to county, 25% goes to school district) though maybe that's just for one district, they try not to reveal too many details on pricing for competitive reasons

As for major bus transits, there's definitely competition but I do believe they have the expertise to compete. Their hardware is good enough that they supply some cams to one of the US air force bases and Boeing Aerospace. They're pivoting to more software shit as well and they definitely have an advantage with controlling both hardware/software so they're not reliant on another company on one or the other

Sure you don't have salt trucks, but most people can stay home. Your biggest issue is probably utility employees and trucks. Same as it is in a normal winter New England style storm.
