I think you mean the rewards rate, which didn't change AFAIK. The staking ratio measures the % of the network that are deliberately locking their funds up for yield. Safe to say that the higher the staking ratio, the more bullish it is.

You're missing the point. The staking ratio has been 70% for months. All of a sudden it just mooned to 80%. That means some weak hands just got shaken the fuck out and some smart ass money took their coins and put them straight into staking.

what it means is that most people who weren't staking sold, and they did mainly to those that were already staking (i.e vc, ico, airdrops and early investors)
an easy way out has been given to late buyers, and now the remaining dump will mainly only affect those who's entry price is still way over the market, and whom are also generating rewards anyway
