I wouldn't be in a rush to get a mn unless you believe the team will deliver on releasing the dex. After that you still need to wait until Stage 3 Hydra for the dex to be hosted by the mn network to actually get the fees, so you will just get block rewards in the mean time.

Long term I think anything below $1 is a safe bet. If the team delivers, this will be the first dex to do native btc>eth swaps that can actually scale and set the standard for other dexes. After that Stage 3 needs to happen to make sure nobody can shut it down. I bought 2mn average buy in at $5k each back in July and went down 80% but now it's back up, so just be ready for this coin to bleed if there are any delays. In my opinion 1mn is a make it stack so if you are afraid of being priced out understand the risk if you do fomo in.

The trading volume of BTC<-> USDT on CEXs tells me that Stakenet DEX could be very successful as it allows as many trades you like once your funds are on L2 at very low cost whilst retaining complete custody, and not using wrapped assets that further compromise custody.
I guess it's the CEX experience without CZ owning your funds.

The masternodecalc app has a MN limit of 4000. Where does that number come from? As the number of MN increases the rewards decrease. So if there are eventually say 30k+ masternodes, it seems like 1MN is no longer a make it stack. Am I wrong?

Can I stake more than 1 MN with 150 xsn in the cloud? Or do I need 150 for each MN?

10m xsn gets minted per year. It will be a long time for the mn count to reach those levels and the way block rewards are split, the more mn up and running it pays more just to stake. Current supply is about 113m so if everybody holding had 15k xsn to host a mn, at most there will be 7500mn running. Right now there is about 2700-2800 mn up.

That is very unlikely to happen for several reasons.
1. If you take supply to be 100,000,000, maximum number of masternodes is limited by supply to 6666MN.
2. As number of MNs increases, staking becomes more profitable, so more people stake, and there's a general equilibrium.
Really rough cigarette box maths here: if MNs are twice as profitable as staking, one would expect twice as much XSN in MNs as staking, which results in roughly 66% in MNs, and 33% in staking. So if 100% of supply was locked up in either MNs or staking (very unlikely), then that would result in ~4500MNs
