i went to cebu in 2016 for about a week, then panglao. I had a few friends that worked in digital marketing there.

Cool city, the ayala district is looking pretty good, rest of the city is a bit chaotic but there's plenty of historic stuff.

Overall decent but there's still a lot of place that are really poor ( not dangerous tho, i was literally the only white guy in the crowd and nobody cared )

Correction, it was kinda corrupt, but not as widespread as Flipland at the time.

It was nice decades ago (up until the 60s or so) when it had small island feel. Now even the small islands are full of bikes, cars, trucks and pollution. Also overpopulated, 120mil people on land the size of Norway which has 5mil people.
