Thinking of swapping my poorfag BNT stack for a meme coin with more potential to x10 and then buy back in when I have enough to stake properly. Any suggestions?

I did this same thing. Ultimately bnt is a great project but you aren’t getting your moneys worth out of the token if you aren’t staking it. That value is built into the tokenomics, and poor fags are better served looking for higher upside tokens that don’t require staking for profitability

Still love bnt and would want to get back in it once net worth is high enough to have a stake stack

Honestly no idea and unfortunately it doesn't really matter to me. As I said here >>28741675 all my GRT is in a vesting contract that releases every 3 months. Its being delegated at the moment and I'm just collecting the passive income every 1-2 weeks.

For price I've actually think about it in terms of LINK. GRT's total diluted supply is 10X that of LINK's, so to compare it just multiply the price by 10.

It seems pretty fairly valued where its at now since the network is less mature (fewer partners, integrations on mainnet). But ultimately it serves a somewhat similar purpose (data delivery) and to an extent is blockchain agnostic (just use GraphQL queries). An advantage over LINK right now is that 'Staking' is basically already lives w/ pretty decent rewards and should only increase as more subgraphs go live on mainnet.

Don't know if anyone else thinks this way, but I usually just compare the total diluted market cap to compare coins.

>>28746004
Depends on the state of the market, I can't see $50 anytime soon (if you read above that's the equivalent of $500 LINK). $5-10 sounds fair if the market doesn't crash.

Probably put $25k in LINK starting in late '17-early '18. I got my GRT at the ICO price ($.03) so that was $4k. The ETH mostly comes for airdrops like UNI/MIR/1INCH/PNG etc.

Side-note the reason I'm bearish on AVAX if anyone is interested is due to the terrible experience of claiming PNG. The fact that the network stopped and funds were locked just really puts me off - even if the team says its fine (and even if it actually is), they lost my trust. I'm perfectly fine with losing out on gains here.

Checked, unfortunately I have no idea of what the next GRT/LINK is going to be. The only coins I've ever held long-term are the ones in my folio right now - lost out on a ton of profits on other coins but I'm super picky with what I choose. Nothing has really caught my eye lately and I've been busy in real life so haven't been as active as I'd like to be.

I like your strategy of ETH/LINK/GRT, maybe just do 1/3 each so you're not bitter if one over/underperforms the others.

My tip would be to look for something with potential to bring actual value to the space. The tokens I hold are all 'infrastructure' tokens where once the network effect is built, its hard to replace the 'standard'. Key here is to see if a lot of other projects are using it and hopefully there is something inherently unique about it. Obviously its easier said than done but that would be my advice.

In contrast, for example a lot of *.finance projects can live/die within months and there's nothing inherently unique that someone couldn't fork (see UNI/SUSHI debacle), so it's much harder to choose the right one. Obviously people make a lot of money here, but I'm fine with missing out to protect against being rugged in the future if the dev. abandons the project.

>>28747116
Yeah, I feel you man. We got a little dip here if you want to get back in I guess which is nice, but maybe next time only swing with a small portion of your stack. And if you're going to take profit, do it with the intent of actually cashing out - otherwise it's best to let it ride (long your longs) or reinvest elsewhere immediately.

Kinda feel like I'm carrying this thread lol. If anyone wants to talk about ETH and how I can stack more of it w/ my current holdings>>28741675

>>28748205
Don't know that's why I asked lol. There is the EIP1559 thing but I need to do more research on it. If they can't solve L1 gas I don't actually think its a big deal though; all you need is for the core ETH dapps to use the same L2 technique and you can just interact between all protocols fully on L2 until you want to cash out (and maybe Coinbase etc. will transition as well). IMO the next project that I would be looking to invest in is something that will let you go between different L2 strategies, for example Optimism -> Arbirtrum -> zkRollups. I'm not that technical, but this would be the holy grail if it existed.

What I'm trying to say is that UNI has a lot more to lose than SUSHI and have pretty large backers which seem to have been providing a lot of support recently. Also when v3 is released expect a +50% pump, from the price at the time.

>Checked, really unfortunate about AVAX and I did the exact same thing. You seem to have a good head on your shoulders, looks like we have similar investing styles except I don't have any BTC. I'm planning on picking some up eventually (mostly for the novelty factor), but I think ETH will outperform in the long run. Anything catching your eye recently?

BTC is how I trade the market mostly: if I am going up in sats, I am doing well and if I am going down in sats, I should have just held BTC. I also kind of believe the digital gold meme.

I usually hold ETH too but traded it for GRT because my bank cockblocks cash to crypto now.

As for new projects... I'm searching pretty hard at the moment. There is a lot of trash out there, and I think some of it will moon short-medium term (like Everest). I think DeFi definitely has room to grow for this run and I kind of like BNT because it seems undervalued compared to others.

In terms of legit projects or long term holds? Nothing I am confident on. I am investigating UNN at the moment, but I have doubts (and usually avoid microcaps). How about you?

I believe in digital gold as well, but just because gold is cool; not because I believe it has a real underlying value (doesn't produce cashflows for me like GRT/ETH/LINK staking will).

BNT definitely seems undervalued, but I don't trade and am not confident enough to hold it for the long long term. I'm pretty sure it will appreciate a good amount, and a lot of LINK holders are capitalizing on it right now. What happened to AAVE, another project where LINK holders adopted it early? Could see it being a bit of a repeat...
Still not worth it since it wouldn't be a long term hold.

NFTs are super hot, but again I see them as a bit of a fad and am unwilling to hold them for the long long term. Way too early to see what the play is here imo.

You're right though, there is so much shit to sort through. Bear markets are unironically better in this regard.

I've also been getting more and more worried every week that goes by, however if you'd read some of my other posts you'll see that I try to invest in super long term holds that will survive the bear market. My GRT is locked for 4 years, with 1/16 releasing every quarter, so even if I wanted to I can't cash out sooner than the unlocks. For LINK, call me deluded, but I haven't held for 3 years to sell before staking and a passive income stream.
That being said, I think we do have some time (1/2 month mania continues -> summer dip -> EOY mania, like 2017) for the run - but you'll probably find that like last time only the strongest will survive, which is what I'm invested in. Open to any and all advice / analysis. Thanks in advance.

>Sell your AVAX man, keep a small stack if you want. But the team has to earn my trust before I put another cent back in (I had a decent stack, but got rid of it the moment they froze the network).
had it all staked before the freeze, but don't think I would have sold anyway. The base tech makes it still one of the best projects around, and long term it seems like a solid hold.

Plus even if I could sell now and did, I doubt the bottom's much lower than 30. Give it a month and we'll be back to ATH

>> No.28755239

>>28754333
Checked, pretty good. Don't know a lot about RSR but it seems decent from what I've seen. Watch list is solid (no complete shitcoins), but be careful about NIM. I think its a micro-cap if memory serves, so don't go too hard.
>>28754542
>>28754613
Most exchanges will have minimums, honestly with such a small amount it probably isn't worth it because of fees. Would work on making more money outside before entering. Since you're a leaf you could also open a TFSA and buy QBTC/QETH to avoid fees while getting crypto exposure.
Nothing wrong with wanting to stack LINK, will just be hard because of fees/minimums.
>>28754664
Sell BTT, TRX, DOGE and XRP immediately. They might perform ok in short periods but they are fundamentally worth NOTHING. Everything else is decent. I prefer ETH over ADA, but it could be worse. Read the rest of my posts to get an idea of how you should invest long term; hopefully it will be valuable to you. Remember to only invest what you're willing to lose and if you keep stacking slowly you'll make it.
>>28754771
>>28754831
Was going to tell you to sell the DOGE, if you made a profit there good on you. Honestly a pretty decent folio, PNK % is a lot smaller than I thought so fine to keep it if you like it. I would say HBAR > RSR for the MIR, just in terms of diversification - but ultimately up to you. Remember those aren't your only options you can do 50/50 or look at some other coins. You're going to be fine though - looking decent.
>>28754909
All good, remember core holdings should be rock solid. If you want some moonshots, nothing wrong with having a little fun on the side

>> No.28755356

Its definitely nice to use and has decent tech. But if it touts itself as a cryptocurrency there is no reason for the network to literally stop for multiple days w/ little public team communication from the team (there was a lot in Discord/Telegram but it was mostly damage control). You're probably right about selling now, don't know about ATH but it can probably bounce a little bit - just keep in mind how they handled the situation, not impressive to me personally.

It's trying to make a token that's 1:1 to USD and impossible to suffer censorship. It's going to have a reserve value, so you can store your crypto using it with no fear. You can also buy stuff using it. People in venezuela, argentina and other countries that have fucked up with their economy would adopt it. It's the USDT destroyer. But they still have a long way to go, I think.
Please someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Pretty decent portfolio, don't have any issues to be honest. It's a phenomenal feeling to pay yourself and have some leftover in the market. Don't know too much about anything apart from GRT/BNB, but they don't seem that scammy from what I've seen on /biz/. Just know when to take gains/cut losses and rotate into something more solid.
You're ahead of 99% of people on this board, since you've actually taken profit. You should feel happy and proud of yourself.
>>28755539
Less about actually staking, I just have this feeling that it will melt faces and 32 is a psychologically stack number. Like 1 BTC, 10k LINK etc. I can find some cash to invest before it pops off, there's just no chance that I sell my current holdings.
