Also: All "fiat" currency is a ponzi scheme. Hell, even the very concept of money itself (ie: the idea that shiny metals are "labor tokens" which can be exchanged for other items or services of value) is a ponzi scheme. It goes even deeper than this, but it's probably good to stop here.

But fiat isn't? How is forex different than coin trading? Our entire system is built on ideas, not real value. Things are worth what people believe they are worth, that's the bottom line. We are making people see that we can control what is valuable without banks and government at the center of, gatekeeping it all to take advantage of us. That alone makes it more legitimate than fiat. Now, with stonks I could accept the argument are more concrete because companies own physical assets. Doesn't make their trading any less speculative though, because it's not based on that valuation.

okay I think I see where you're coming from now, when I say it's a ponzi I think you hear "it's a scam and it's going to zero in the immediate future". I don't mean that, I mean it's a zero sum game where 99% of the projects are elaborate scams, including bitcoin, that will eventually go to zero at some point in the future but until then there is a huge amount of money to be made for investors and legitimate blockchain tech like chainlink will survive.
