let's collect all the disproven AVAX fud here for posterity sake, feel free to cross reference this thread when fudded:

> turkroach scam
300IQ gigabrains with big business connections, ex facebook, microsoft and nasa employees
> doublespend hurr durr
invalid minting bug, already fixed
> network fully inoperable for days
network slowdown due to aforementioned bug that the consensus detected and halted, bullish if anything
> binance halting deposits
just binance being binance, other exchanges are up and trading
> march coin unlock
last coin unlock was bigger and price actually increased, added liquidity to the market
> mass distrust-borne staking selloff
if anything the rapid response and patch to the bug will increase trust, all non-braindead early adopters know new tech is due to experience issues
> price go down oh no
we're correcting from our latest astronomical pump likely down to 35/40 floor
> hack (the latest fud)
wtf, no, funds are and always have been safu

anything I missed or messed up anon? please enlighten me

Call it what you want but the same coins we're spent multiple times. Labeling it a "bug bounty" is a PR stunt to pretend everything is okay.

Honestly the pajeet fudders deserve a raise for their handling of this one, I think we can all admit it was well done

Not false. Like I said, I don't care what you call it. Double spend or invalid mint.

There's no way you can spin this. You can follow the UTXOs. The same coins we're duplicated with the same hash. The duplicated coins we're exchanged via Pangolin for wETH. You can verify it all easily on the explorers.

>> No.28662935

>>28662812
they are completely different things, if you understood even a little bit about crypto you would know that, but I enjoy watching you rationalize the pure garbage fud, how much are you shorting?

>> No.28663065

>>28662935
I would short it if I could, I'm fairly certain this is going below $30 in the next couple weeks

Here's a transaction with an input of 63.45 and an output of 444: https://explorer.avax.network/tx/iWd83KayghBQYNERXem3nW8ifFjJsR66NwWcAR6uZavKFWthq

That's not how UTXOs are supposed to work.

Here's the contract calls spending the the duplicated coins: https://cchain.explorer.avax.network/address/0xF834cD05B12fCDAcd89E17361f783ea57fE86934/transactions

It's like you guys aren't even trying. This couldn't be anymore obvious. Stop shilling to newfags and pretending like everything is BAU.

I'm not saying anything about double spend or invalid mint. I'm saying that coins were duplicated and then spent. Period.

It's not a double-spend. It's an inflation bug. Use the proper words. A double-spend would indicate a failure with the consensus protocol itself. Bitcoin's inflation bug didn't invalidate Nakamoto consensus, it was a technical problem with the particulars of the how the Bitcoin network works. Inflation bugs are severe, but luckily it was detected and fixed here before anyone could exploit it, much like Bitcoin's own inflation bug.

I didn't say anything about a double spend. You all did. It is true that coins were duplicated? Yes. Is it true that these coins were exchanged on Pangolin? Yes. You can try to justify it all you want but those are the facts.

The consensus protocol validated the transaction

I am not denying any of that. It's a serious bug, but the damage is mostly psychological. It was fixed before it could be exploited, and a lucky person ended up making 10ETH because of it. But the severity is a matter of how much was minted.
>>28664113
Yes, that's true. But the description of what is a valid transaction isn't something Avalanche consensus itself has anything to do with. It just decides, given valid transactions, what happened or didn't happen.
