Possibly. 2010-2020 was a bad time to be a miner and a lot of the mines that started did so late in the huge rally in gold and silver around 2009. Money was eager and easy, but you also had incompetents trying to get into mining followed by a crushing commodity bear market.

GPL and Nicola Mining are textbook examples of this. They are extremely undervalued relative to their production and confirmed resources but also have looming large debt loads which is always a concern for mining equities (miners raise money almost entirely through stock offerings). Rising commodity prices make this less of an issue especially if they are already producting.
MUX just got slammed with both bad timing and accidents at the worst possible times that basically required them to raise money in ways that has completely hamstrung any rally in it. The share structure is absolutely horrendous with millions of warrants at strikes near where its been "crabbing" for nearly a year.
