looking at charts they weren't in value area before, before this year they seem like a really shitty invesemen
yeah they jumped after March 2020 bottom but so did everything else, there as no fundamental or technical reason for them to continue going up so instead they crashed
now after they crashed and bottomed out - that's where I'm interested in buying because we have confirmed reversal, i'm buying very close to all time lows and there's 0 resistance till x2 profit
all of those tickers are low mcap but high liquidity so they will move quickly, have great technicals and the industry is in confirmed short-term uptrend that just started
I'll get x2 in a month and get the fuck out because oil is not a long-term investment play for me BUT ven if it takes longer and something goes wrong I diversified this play in 3 different stocks so if either of those underperforms or overperforms, I'm covered and NAT specifically pays enormous dividends so even if I need to baghold for a while I get 14% of my money back (and since I'm buying so close to the bottom it literally can't go much lower)

Since it's your old man though don't talk him into going all in. Should things go south he'll bail at the wrong time. You need an iron stomach to hold lots of leveraged ETFs through the entire market cycle. Note how SOXL dropped over 80% in March.
