I'm not impressed anymore. The good thing is that you elected a commie for president, and your country is negrifying in a accelerated pace.

>> No.28622180

ETH isn't popular here because despite being able to use Uniswap and such not many people have any idea how crypto works or what they're doing.

Also the most active and vocal posters are either poor or late adopters so they'd rather buy scams and hope they get rich that way. See everyone buying doge instead of Bitcoin.

And finally only maybe 10% of casual investors understand the concept of market cap vs. price. They see Ada at 80 cents and think wow if it just catches up to ETH it will be 1,800 too , why should I buy one ETH when I can have 1.8k Ada.

Neither of these things, but you can do one of two things in the meantime,
a) do exactly what my OP explained what many will do, instead of just not participate in DeFi you can buy tokens at 1/10th the price and just wait a few months to take part
or
b) just buy on a centralized exchange you trust, binance, coinbase, etc and just relax for a while, watch the price moon, and laugh as people that took route (a) seethe
>>28622180
>late adopters
Which is EXACTLY what I'm trying to explain to people with the above post. Imagine waiting until crypto is easy for a grandma to use to invest. That's what many people are doing right now.
>Too expensive
>Too complicated
Can't wait until you can buy it on your brokerage and an actual Grandpa that has no qualms about leaving it on that website will make the price skyrocket.
>understand the concept
This is a sad truth and I'm starting to think that people that got burned on XRP just went to ADA. Good for them, but they're still gonna get burned.

People keep thinking "ETH2" when in reality it's just "ETH1.5" which is significantly closer than you think, and it's going to be a sea of pink wojaks when people regret,

I don't know if brokerages offering crypto is a good thing unless they physically need to own the assets and are regularly audited. Which I don't think will ever happen. Does Robinhood and PayPal actually own one coin for every one held by their users?

Outside of regulation I think the biggest threat to crypto is mass acceptance and paper trading where we get into a silver/gold situation where kikes suppress the price by making 90% of the volume backless paper trading printing supply out of thin air to suppress the price and hide the gravity of inflation, making you put your money into markets they can easier control and manipulate/profit from.

it's easy to think it's just the newfags and the normalfags, but it goes beyond that. talk to venture capital guys, tech funds who have literally done nothing but tech for years and worth billions, and are aware of crypto since 2012-2013. you'll find they somewhat understand bitcoin and still struggle to truly get ethereum
this is why "eth killers" work so well in the market. the concept of smart contracts is so abstract to the average mind you can more or less sell anything as such.
ergo it's not so much a "we are early". many of us /biz/raelis hopped in 2016 and later. many normalfags have been aware of bitcoin since 2012 and perhaps even used it to buy drugs and all. like satan says, most of the population lacks the capacity to understand smart contracts, now and ever

Price is stagnating because of actual institutional buy ins. Remember the time we spent at $600, then $1200, then $1800. Notice a pattern here? $2400 is unironically the next stop.
>>28625956
It's not a confirmation bias, it's got the first mover advantage to smart contracts just like Bitcoin has the first mover advantage to blockchain itself. All other tokens need not apply.

>>28626310
>nd they will FUD it every step of the way
It's quite laughable. AVAX was taking over ETH, mostly because the price was going up, then the blockchain doesn't even fucking work. NEO did the same thing, was gonna take over ETH. 4 years later, here we are.
>>28626529
>and still struggle to truly get ethereum
Mostly because it hasn't really hit its prime yet. When electricity "came out" sure it could light houses, it could transfer simple Morse code messages. Did anyone ever think of solar powered pornography websites that you could view on a mobile phone that you pay for with your work from home programming job?
The possibilities are far off. It's hard to sink billions of someone else's money when you can't really even fathom how it'll change things.
>picrelated
>>28626529
>this is why "eth killers" work so well
They work well because someone who doesn't have 32 ETH wants 32 ETH and they delude themselves into believing for a while that their project is going to win, and they won't need 32 ETH. The sooner most people get on board that it's all about squeezing for more Bitcoin and more ETH the happier you'll all be. Don't tell anyone though, else the alt market will collapse and BTC and ETH will become the only products. Rightly so.
>most of the population lacks the capacity to understand smart contracts
You don't need to understand them. Just buy.
