Unironically a chink scam.
They do what all the other China hustles do witch is connecting themselves to well known brands and then blow them way out of proportion. Walmart China for example, everything in China is shady as fuck and Chinese sectors of big Western companies making "partnerships" with shitcoins should not be taken seriously. Another example is BMW, they blew it out as a cringy announcement of a partnership but in reality they just joined a startup garage witch is literally nothing.
Even the rebranding during 2017 mania was engineered to attract as many stupid people as possible. "Vechain THOR", you have to be fucking kidding me. They know what normies like and they target them like hyenas. It does have pumpamentals I will admit that but only because people are retarded as fuck.

Chink scam that will lose 98% of its value when the bubble pops. They are really good at marketing but the product is shit, its a centralized blockchain and only insiders can run a node. Oh and lastly, the rumor is true. Watch the china hustle on netflix and you will understand

It was a hypecoin back in 2017/18 that hit $7-$8 due to massive FOMO and a few announced partnerships that didnt always turn out to be true. Then it bled out just like everything else.

It did have a use case that I myself witnessed though. I'm in the wine industry and noticed that high end Bordeaux growth Chateaux, which is often faked by asians and sold for cheap, implemented a quality control system utilizing the VeChain protocol that stored authentic information on the blockchain. Every bottle was accounted for and verifiable. Unsure if they're still doing it, but chinks made mad by chink coin. Fin

This.

Also in 2018 when the price was falling they decided to increase the number of token required for their 'economic nodes'. Retards holders had to buy more vechain to keep their privilege, thus increasing demand and maintaining the price up a litle longer
